All About You in 52, Week 7

{Scrap, Rattle and Roll Fiskateer Crop}
{Fiskars Friday RAK}

Can you believe we are already on week 7? I can't. I now have 7 completed layouts about Me. Me to share and give to others, especially my family.

I'm loving the journaling aspect of the challenge. I always went with the "art" side and sort of forgot to journal, not just what is happening but the feelings behind it. I love love love journaling now. All the books I ever purchased about journaling and now the light bulb comes on.

Over the next few weeks we are going to look at "moments."

mo·ment n.
* A brief, indefinite interval of time.
* A particular period of importance, influence, or significance in a series of events or developments: a great moment in history.
* Outstanding significance or value; importance.
* A brief period of time that is characterized by a quality, such as excellence, suitability, or distinction.

I want to documents moments in my life. For me these are harder than the other questions. Oh, by the way, someone asked me where I got my questions. My head and heart!

Question 7

If you could freeze one moment in time what is that moment?

This is my answer to the question:

Journaling reads

It was a moment no longer than a breath during my senior trip to Disney World in 1977. It was an inner feeling of beauty, excitement, self-assuredness. It was having one foot in childhood and one foot in the adult world. It was a moment that caused my spirit to be giddy. It was as if I had wings and I could soar. This was my moment; a moment I want to freeze and remember.

RAK for Week 7 is a beautiful leather journal with gold leafing on the edge of the pages. It is stitched and has a paisley design on one part and a flourish on another part embossed into the leather. I tried to scan it and take a photo, because of the wrapping it kept giving me these weird wavy lines. I promise you will love it. And you never know what I'll throw in the package if it isn't full. LOL

Remember to post a link to your layout in this post.

RAK winner for Week 6 is Michelle:

Send me your addy for your Limited Edition Squeeze Punch from Fiskars.

I'll save "other news" for tomorrow. So make sure to be back then.

  2. I love this question--I think because the moment came to me so quickly and I often wish I could live it over and over again (my wedding). Thanks! :)

  4. I had the perfect picture for this layout. It's a pic of me with my daddy at Disneyland in 1963. You can't tell that it's Disneyland unless you look really close, under the clock. You'll see the Disneyland Skyway (buckets) in the background.

  15. I'm waaaay behind thanks to being very depressed, travelling, and then sick as a dog. (Weird cliche. I wonder where that came from.) Keep your fingers crossed, I am doing a million times better (knocking on wood!)

    Anyway, the point is, here's my layout for week 7. I decided to freeze in time the night I was presented with the Kelty Award for Outstanding Local Animal Activism (alongside Howard Lyman, the "Mad Cowboy"--you know, the guy that got Oprah in trouble by telling her about the dangers of Mad Cow disease. He used to be a rancher, but he quit when it suddenly hit him that what he was doing was cruel. Really humble and brilliant man. He loves the song Amazing Grace because he feels that it describes his drastic life change so perfectly.) It was really an incredible evening. I was so surprised, taken totally off guard, and just brimming with gratitude at being noticed this way. Wow.
