All About You, Week 9

Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes about my health. Doctor said I would live. LOL But I just need a bit of a vacation. So for the next week and half I'm scrapbooking, playing on the computer and cleaning house. He gave a few pills and said "if I see you again then I know it's not working." LOL Dr. Lyle is more than my doctor he is my friend and elder my church.

I wanted you to know our Angie S had a computer crash and is not back in All About You in 52. She is doing some amazing layouts (digi) and wonderful journaling. If you get a chance go to Much Ado About Nothing and check them out and leave comments on her layouts.

Mariah has been working hard on catching up. They are amazing. You have to be a Fiskateer to see her layouts.

If you have been frustrated at not being able to see the Fiskateers Layouts, you can join the Fiskateers and have access to the gallery. It is a painless procedure. Go to Fiskateers click on "how to join" read away. Pick one of the Leads to send an email to telling about yourself and your passion for crafting. They will send you the Secret Password and you are in. Then you can see these amazing layouts and read their journaling.

I want to share an email I received from Kate (with her permission)

I was just talking about this last night at a crop and am directing a new friend to your blog. She was asking what Essandra & I scrap bout and was looking for inspiration; I mentioned your challenges despite the fact that I've only completed one and we got to talking about WHY I haven't completed them...I am really struggling with them for some crazy reason.

BUT, today is an easy day; all chores done, charity work done yesterday, book swaps mailed today, kids to library done and it's pasta for dinner so I get to scrap some more!

I am challenging myself to pick 2 or your challenges and DO EM'. Well, after I order my new stove.... My friend Christine and Essandra (you remember her from Hershey-gorgeous sistah with me & my REAL sister) both lost their mothers unexpectedly in 2007 at a young age and they said they would've given ANYTHING to have something like this Book of ME and so it gave me the kick in the pants to do this for MY children...giveup the qualms about weight and acne ; my looks are what they are. They won't matter in the end; it's my feelings, thoughts, words and love that they will be looking at.

I was totally encourage to keep working hard on my own book. Kate thanks for sharing about All About You in 52 with two Fiska-friends.

Week 9 Question
What was a moment that when you BLINKED your whole world changed?
Here is my answer:
Journaling Reads:

BLINK It was not unexpected, but in the a few words “I now join you as husband and wife” my world totally changed. I left my father & mother’s home having never lived on my own. Starting a life with this man, in the bigger sense of life, I did not know. I married a new family that is very different than my own. I was scared, did not feel secure & seriously wanted to move back home to my Dad. In a BLINK I started a new life; turned it around & in a new direction. Our adventures have been great and sometimes exceptionally difficult. BLINK: life changed.

  13. Wow! What a beautiful layout. I can't imagine what it must have been like to go straight from your parents' home to being married. Heck, I can't imagine what it would have been like to get married without living together first! We dated for 3 years before we got married, lived together for a year or two, so we were really heavily prepared to move on. A wedding was stressful enough without having to worry about everything changing in the blink of an eye, as you say. I've always found the idea of jumping in like that facinating. I'd love to hear more about what that was like. Wow. No wonder people get cold feet! We were lucky, I think, because we already fully relied upon each other and knew we could handle the day to day stuff already. It wasn't much of a change, more of a celebration for our parents. Everything happened gradually over time. Less romantic, maybe, but the honeymoon more than made up for it. ;) Hmm...how about that for a future question...the most romantic thing anyone's done for you/you've done for them?

I'll shut up now and go work on my layout! :)
