All About You in 52, Week 15!

**Winner from All About You in 52 will be announced tomorrow due to Holy Week and Easter.**

My Bailey Bailey is an important part of my life. My little fat dachshund meets me at the door, sniff’s in my purse for anything I might have brought home for him, lays down with me when I sick, listens to me when we are outside chasing the birds and looking for his doggie friends. I chase Bailey around the house and he chases me. Never give him a dog toy that squeaks because it will on live for about 15 minutes.
I’ve had other pets, Raisin, Oreo, Sam etc. I’ve had turtles, birds, fish, hamster, rabbit and cats. My first dog has become so much apart of my childhood memories and I believe my compassion and love towards animals started with Tippie.

Did you have a pet as a child and what do you remember about your pet?
(If you did not have a pet as a child, any pet you want to write about is great)

Here is my answer:

(The background of blue is only a mat, the scalloped edges are the edge of the layout.)

Tippie, my first friend!
I remember the feeling of love & laughter.
I know Tippie was too short to jump on the couch to sit with me.
It was funny to see him try.
We would play in the yard and chase each other
Tippie is a happy memory from my childhood.

Thanks for putting the word out about Debby’s Dare. I enjoy you and new friends coming over to visit. For those who posted on mb and sent emails, thank you. I put your name in each time you did this. Now for anyone who has hung around me knows I’m slow on mailing things out. But I’m heading uptown today to pick up mailers, get them ready and beg my husband to get them mailed for me. LOL

one of the fiskateers is going on a mission and will be teaching Vacation Bible School. The team needs supplies. One of the items is kids safety scissors. The dollar tree has Fiskars safety scissors for a dollar. But it doesn’t have to be Fiskars. If you would like to send Jenn some scissors email me and I’ll get her to get in touch with you.

Besty Burnett, friend and often cohorts, has submitted a card and needs votes….many, many votes. Here is an opportunity to encourage a crafter. Go to Creative Options, scroll down to cards and look for Betsy’s name. You do not need to sign in or sign up. Just vote. Thanks a ton.

  1. Love this idea for a layout! And what great journaling too. My first pet was Cuddles the cat - he was the best. :)

  2. What a great memory to have a wonderful and loved pet. My first pet was a Pekingese his name was Benji I loved him dearly a
I knew he loved meand I love him. He was a great guard dog that hung out under the steps of our front porch. Everyone new to yell from the gate because Benji would get them the whole way to the door. lol So small but a very big bark!!

  3. Sweet Layout to remember you beloved pet.

We've always been dog people & I've made many layouts of our furry family members.

I voted for Betsy - best wishes to her.

  4. Hi Debby

I thought if I didn't get this one done today, it would be 2 weeks so believe it or not -here it is. It was great remembering how much fun Taffy was when she was part of the family.

Deb, what a beautiful layout! I had 2 dogs when I was growing up, Maggie (named after the song Maggie Mae) and Duke. My first words were old dog! LOL! So animals have always had a soft spot in my heart, for sure. :)

  7. Deb what a great question and I voted for Betsy! :o)

This Lo is awesome.. we did have a pet as a child, but I don't remember that dog very well, but I think I have pics of her,, and I also had a small black dog back when my kids were small,, he was black.. even after he was gone, when I saw something black lying on the floor I thought it was our dog Shadow.. love this chellange..Mariah

  9. I got mine done. I did not think I would nor am I really crazy about it this week but it is done!

  10. I couldn't find a pic of our "garage" cat we had when I was a child, but I did have pics of my first pet I had as an adult, so I decided to scrap one of these. I chose this one, since it was taken the day we had to give them away. It was sad, but necessary. I really didn't think I'd get this done this week, but I surprised myself, so here it is!

  11. Yay! Another layout closer to being all caught up. Can you tell I was watching Paris is Burning while I put this one together. Even the cardstock sparkles!
