Hurray! It's Thursday. Still.
Before you start the video let me tell everyone that has an outstanding RAK from me, my hubby put it in the mail today. I have no RAKs to mail.
Today's Fiskars Demo:
Coming Out of the Closet with Fiskars Texture Plates!
Concerns I've heard:
I don't understand how to.
I can't make it work right.
I can't make the textured image come through well.
Let's see if we can bring our texture plates out of the closet.
NOW, I want to see some projects using your Fiskars Texture Plate. Make a project with the texture plate. Post a link on this post. I'll draw someone's name randomly for a smart Fiskars gift. I'll post mine next Thursday.
I'll be off the computer for the most part for the next two days. Two day crop! Whoopee! I'm doing the Fiskateer of the Year thing (having fun with everyone..passing out a few goodies..sharing the passion of crafting), doing some demos and of course I'm the number one coffee maker! LOL I'll post my adventures on Sunday when I recuperate!
Thanks everyone. If this was helpful make sure to leave a comment.
Gratitude List:
1. God's strength when one wants to be angry
2. God's strength to get me through these next 6 weeks.
3. Shannon, Sudie, Nan, Mary Beth, Amita and Stephanie...God thank you for their gift of giving.
4. My beautiful Amber and Hannah
5. "This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!"
This video was SO helpful! I am pulling out my texture plates for the first time in a very long while (4 years, maybe?) as I didn't know what to do with them after I bought them! I have no idea how to post a link once I have a project done--but I will try. I'm thankful just for the inspiration, though! 8-) Christine-Fiskateer #6108
ReplyDeleteI love your tips, gonna start using my templates.Have a good time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great video. I have to find those rubber pads & then I'm good to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any of these, but I have seen some really cool things done with them lately! I may just have to have some of these soon!!!
I will get a project posted with the fiskar texture plates. I have found that the Sizzix texture plates give a better impression in the CB than the fiskar ones unless you mist the paper with water before running through the CB. I will try this next week though! Thanks for another great video!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! i just ordered the new Sizzix and I cannot wait to try this I have so many plates that I have tucked away because of the difficulty to use!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Again :)
Great video. I love the sanding technique!
ReplyDeleteHere's my project for the dare:

ReplyDeleteI look at those texture plates everytime I pass them in a store. Thanks so much for sharing this information. I need to buy some now!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debby! I don't have the texture plates but love that flower/butterfly one! Love the sanding too! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis video is just in time. My son gave me 12 fiskar texture templates for my birthday this week. I don't have a machine to run them thru but I love how you sanded them. I will surely be trying this idea out.
ReplyDeletethanks.

Love the sanding part!
ReplyDeleteDeb,I just uploaded my templates using the cuttlebug,They are the same paper, but,I tried the tone on tone, and it turns out so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOK-I did 2 projects using my plates! I still have to do all the embossing by hand, so I'm wiped out now, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for giving me a reason to dig out my plates--I actually got each pack for $1 on clearance, but can't remember when. I'm sure glad I did--I'm going to be doing a lot more with them now, thanks to your inspiration!!
I don't know how to post a link (still a newbie) but pics of my 2 projects are on the Fiskateers site in the Gallery--"by Christine 6108".
what is the name of that flexible black pad. I tried the sizzix impressions pad but its to thick. I can't find the pad you used. can you help
ReplyDeleteIt is a thin rubber mat that comes with your die cutting machine or their corresponding embossing tool set. With Sizzix's Big Shot it is called "Sizzix Texturz Accessory - Impressions Pad" I hope this helps.
