All About You in 52, Week 29

{Poll ends tonight... Leave your comment HERE to be in the drawing tomorrow and help me out one more time with another set of polls. }

Thanks Vicki for all the wonderful catch up work you've done. Congratulations. Thank you Michelle for being there every week. You should now have 28 layouts about YOU. Did you ever think you would ever have that many layouts solely about YOU? I'm having a lot of fun.

Next Week I'll be in Orlando at the Fiskars Birthday Party Bash and for the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show. Week 30 of All About You in 52 is a FREEBIE! You pick a subject, a time, a photo and scrap it. Rule: It must be all about you. August 3 the weekly RAKs start back. That's three days after CHA...I wonder what RAK I can bring back??

My son is now driving, despite my better judgement. LOL He is so tall, around 6'5" and still growing! My car does not fit him, Adams car does not fit him and dad's is a company vehicle. So we are going to be forced into buying him something he can get those long legs into. That started my thinking wheels......

My first car was a used green Datsun that my dad bought for me when I was 17 years old. Ooo, I was so proud and excited. The problems was I had learned how to drive on an automatic, this was a stick shift. Dad, said no problem, he would teach me. It took about three times before my dad realized I'm not coordinated. Not being able to shift while clutching while watching the road and being nervous got the better of my dad. He turned around and sold the car to my boyfriend. LOL I stayed with an automatic until about 10 years old. I had a stick shift and loved it better than anything.

I just had fun with this one. And look at that photo. Wasn't I the cute one. LOL

I've been working hard on getting ready for my trip, but the experiment bug has bitten me in the middle of all this. I'm really been playing with beading and with polymer clays.

Friday have a project at Michael's in Charlotte. If anyone in the area wants to have a cup of coffee...join me afterwards for just a few minutes.

Saturday is the Christmas in July Charity Crop with proceeds (toys) going to the Marines Toy for Tots.

Sunday I buzz out to Orlando with Shannon and other excited Fiskateers.

Busy week and I'm in the mood to create!

  1. OMG! My first car (and I loved this thing) was a 1970 Grasshopper green metallic buick skylark 2 door. I bought it myself (for $500) because my car option was a 1979 ice blue station wagon otherwise and I wasn't about to drive THAT car! LOL

  3. My first car, back in 1990, was an old Oldsmobile. A big blue boat. I can't remember the year. But what a great thing to think about and journal!! I have have to do some digging. I don't think I even have any pics either.. didn't always have a camera. Scrapbooking has changed the way you think and look at things. I take way too many pics now!!! LOL
