I’ve been told by one of the historians in our family that my great grandmother had her “ways.” If she did not liked you she would give you a certain color melon, on the other hand if she did not care for you then she would give you the “other” color melon. She did not show her angry or disapproval outwardly, but she found a way.
As I was thinking about all the great stuff we have documented I realized that one thing to balance the scales was needed for me. Part of who I am is what makes me angry, furious, incensed, or outraged. I don’t pass out melons and sometimes I’m a little too forward about voicing my likes and dislikes but they are a part of who I am.
Be warned about answering this week’s question. As I was typing out those “pet peeves” that I have, I got caught up in the anger. At one point I felt like the need to write a letter to someone who had perpetrated a grave injustice. In the middle of the letter I was pulled away for a moment to answer the phone. When I came back to the letter I realized how dark I felt about this issue and how I had let it zap my energy and self-confidence at times. I immediately remembered a reference in the Bible, Mark 11:25. Which I turned into the focus of my journaling and a challenge to my life. None-the-less I wanted to document those things I call my pet peeves.

My Answer
My Journaling
I’ve hidden my journaling on purpose! I will share the end paragraph with you.
It is one of the hardest things in my journey in life to live Mark 11:25. “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.” God help me in my life to forgive as you have forgiven me.

1st Widget Winner… Michele's Scrapy Creations Congratulations Michele. Send me your snail mail address to debbysdare@gmail.com.
Continuation for Day 2 ... How about a Debby’s Dare widget giveaway? Click on the part of the widget that reads “get widget.” It will give you a code that you can put on you site. There will not be any advertising that pops up out of nowhere. (I really dislike that.)
Giveaway? I will randomly draw several winners for some Prima Bling. A girl needs to “bling” in the New Year with a little sparkle! I’ll be drawing a winner a day through Thursday! Leave a comment letting me know where the widget went. If you have nowhere to leave a widget then bring 3 friends (3 for each day's giveaway) over to say hello and make sure they leave your name. Happy Bling Year!
Gratitude List
1. remember the Titians (what I do when I’m frustrated!)
2. God’s Grace
3. Music, especially Christmas music
4. quiet heart
5. love that demands no conditions
