I’m going back to my first love in scrapbooking. I’ve always loved stitching on my layouts. Number one complaint from others is “it takes up too much time.” It takes up no more time than many other techniques we often apply to our scrapbook pages. When I’m stitching at a crop it is prime time to talk and share.
I don’t take sewing machines to crops, but I do take my stamps. This technique works best with acrylic stamps. But you can certainly stamp a wood stamp on a piece of vellum and use it the same way.
As always I would love comments to let me know what you think.
Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter at the right to receive your “Stitch Diagrams.”
Here are a few samples of some of my "quilting" on paper. I'm not finished with the layout yet.
Homemade Families participates tomorrow is a new prompt. I’ve been seeing some great layouts and photos. I’ve also seen some great recipes that I may need to copy. If you are a Fiskateer and do not have a blog I would ask you also post your layouts at Dare2Dream so everyone can see your layouts. Remember the Fiskateer gallery is closed to non-members.
Everyone is invited to a CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) celebration at Dare2Dream this Saturday. The crop starts at 1 pm with a list of 4 Dare Ya!s. At 9 pm we will have a chat right on Dare2Dream. Of course what’s the sense of a Dare Ya without RAKs! I hope you will check it out and join to participate.
We just hit 50 comments for our Glimmer Mist Chocolate Covered Cherries giveaway. First let me tell you the page kit from a Creating Keepsake Convention, my first, was Making Memories. It was awesome as a newbie to scrapbooking. I won their grand prize that year! The winner is “Shannon Marie” according to Random.org. Congrats and send me your snail mail. See Debby’s Dare policy on RAKs. Timing is everything.
Gratitude List
1. nice relaxing weekend
