MOMMMM What’s for Dinner?
Have you heard this or even cried it out yourself coming in from a long day at school? Or maybe it’s “Honey, what are we having tonight?” My 16 year old is our gentle giant as he is nearly 6’6” and he needs to eat! So, it’s not unusual for him to come home wanting to know what is for dinner that night.
Answer this question with an ordinary day, and ordinary dish that you would cook. I almost put down spaghetti or tomato soup and grilled cheese. LOL Maybe the next time. I remembered a quick meal I would pull together for the kids when I got that cry of hunger.
For your family page it can be of one of your family members or several that remind you of a time that it was “What’s for Dinner?”

Tiny story…I’m redesigning my studio so there is nothing I’m use to having at my finger tips around right now. My paper is not where my paper is supposed to be much less digging for a trimmer! LOL But I found this class kit I never finished.
It was in this class I was introduced to actually painting on chipboard! That was a big WOW then.
Instead of telling you the ingredients since all but one tiny thing came from this manufacture, you tell me. I’ll pull a random winner from the correct answer.
The RAK is for yummy yummy .... Tattered Angels Chocolate Covered Cherries Glimmer Mist. Leave a comment with your answer. For me to give this away we need 50 COMMENTS so help me get the word out!
You can still join us for 52 weeks of Homemade Families. We are creating a book with 52 recipes, but with a twist. One page is of our family and the other is a recipe page. If you would like to join in email me at DebbysDare@gmail.com. Send me your real name and your comment name and you are set.

I’ll be sending out week 2 sketch this morning. I like it much better than my first. I’m starting to get the hang of it a bit.

Love your layout! :) And Glimmer Mist is the best!
ReplyDeleteGreat page Debby. . . I am thinking it might be ranger that was teaching you to paint oh chipboard along time ago!
ReplyDeleteI have one bottle of Glimmer Mist and not sure what to do with it.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 teen girls and they always looking for something to eat, teens LOL

Is it Cloud 9/HG?
ReplyDeleteGreat LO...reorganizing my own space so I feel you there!!!
Great layout as ALWAYS! You are so talented. Would love to know more about Glimmer Mist uses.

I would guess Ranger taught the class. I LOVE glimmer mist and would love every single color.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these glimmer mist colours!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try out the glimmer mist - these colors look great!
ReplyDeleteMy guess for the company would be Making Memories. I LOVE all the colors of Glimmer Mist that I own. It really makes the page!!
ReplyDeleteLove Glimmer Mist and your LO. My teenage boys are the same. Any and all ideas are welcome.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Making Memories! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win, you are so sweet!
I love the idea of doing a page with a recipe! What a fun way to create a book that can be passed on as a legacy! My guess would that I don't know so I would go either by Ranger or Making memories!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Glimmer mist is fantastic. Chocolate covered cherry is delicious! Both mixed is a match made in heaven!
I'll guess Tattered Angels or Ranger.

Mac N Cheese. The layout looks great. I think it might be Making Memories paper.
ReplyDeleteMy hands are covered in glimmer mist right now and could always use another color. Don't have any browns so this would be perfect! They are manufactured by Tattered Angels. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove your gratitude list. Inspires me to write one. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE Glimmer Mist! Used it on this year's Christmas cards. The Chocolate Cherry color looks delightful!!
I have never used Glimmer Mist, but I'd love to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts! My thought was Ranger, too. I just posted my Homemade Families LO's for week 2 on the Ning site.
ReplyDeleteOriginal! I like it :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is coming home from Utah - she is a craft femme fetale - and this is the perfect addition to her craft supplies! love it! Kathleen
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Making Memories. Love your LO. My 9 year old is on his way to tall and eats all the time too!
ReplyDeleteI just purchased my first bottle of Glimmer Mist. I'm watching youtube videos for tips on how to use it. So far, it's gorgeous stuff. I want all colors!

ReplyDeleteI have a couple bottles of Glimmer Mist and I've used them several times but new ideas are always great. That Chocolate covered Cherry one is absolutely yummy but then again, I just may be partial to the orange and green versions for some reason . . .
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway and your challenge sounds really fun and would fit in with my self set challenge of doing a homemade Christmas. I may email you about that in a bitas am already in a 52 recipe challenge... rambling sorry.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win, I will post you giveaway in my sidebar in a bit :)
Apologies for the double post, I realised I didn't answer the ingredients question, I have no idea of the answer so am going to follow the majority with Making Memories :)
I'm not too good at picking out the manufacturer's yet just by sight, so I'm going with the majority too and saying Making Memories. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteorders@foryournursery.com
i have been looking at Tattered Mist for a while now thanks for giving me a chance on wining some I want one. I have tried making it with no luck on the results.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried Glimmer Mist. I have seen it on the web and have wanted to try it but have never purchased it. I would venture that Making Memories is the answer to the question. What to feed a growing boy....on cold days I think a nice pot of Chili with ground beef and beans. Top it in the bowl with Frito's, grated cheese, and sour and cream. YUMMY and nice hardy and filling! Leftovers for the next day? Baked potatoes, topped with the chili, sour crean also grated cheese. What a comfort food!
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to try to win
I'm thinking it has to be ranger
Would love the glimmer mist
Cheers
Catie
My favorite item is Glimmer Mist and the class is by Ranger/Tim Holtz?
ReplyDeleteThe Glimmer Mist is so pretty!! I am going to guess Making Memories too:)
ReplyDeletecyclona66(at)aol(dot)com
Is the class by Tim at Ranger? I don't have this color/flavor... I'll have to try this technique.
ReplyDeletechocolate cherry oh my! that would be perfect for valentines day!!!
ReplyDeletegreat page Debby! I just shared a "White Out" page using Glimmer Mist and masking last week - people say it really does look like a blizzard on my page. (LOL)
ReplyDeleteAs far as a mfr - wow, don't recognize that one. At first I thought Scribble Scrabble as it reminds me of a line they had, but there wasn't a plaid that I recall, so I will toss out Reminisce or Daisy Ds as it seems to have "that look" to me, but hey - you could have told us how old it was as a hint! (LOL) Mfrs. change their styles as designes come and go. ;-)
Love the LO...and I would guess Making Memories...such fun - thank you!
ReplyDeleteIs that Making Memories I see?? Love Glimmer Mist!!! What a fun layout!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I have just discovered the Glimmer mist and I LOVE it. Also, I so love your videos. You are always so cheerful and I love watching your demos. It's my turn to win the mist, so send me some Chocolate Covered Cherries! LOL
ReplyDeleteumm, i love GM. i think it it's also Making Memories.
ReplyDeletetake care!! aloha.
As artistically challenged as I am, this mist looks like something right up my alley, so to speak! I can hardly wait to try it out.
ReplyDeleteDebbie I got my bling in the mail this week hun ty so much and I also wanted you to know I adore TA products I definately need more glimmer mist I am on the last squirts of my melon spray and no one around me carries Tattered Angels sigh I need it badly....
ReplyDeleteJanie Boots
This has nothing to do with Glimmer Mist, but it does have to do with the layout challenge of the week. Just wanted to say that I have posted my pages from Week 2... had a ball doing it, probably because of the old pictures I used. One has my husband when he was about 2 years old!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout! I'm usually the one asking what's for dinner! LMAO!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!!! This looks ever so yummy!! Even if I don't win this bottle, I may eventually have to order it due to the fact I got a ton of ideas running around . It would also go great with the screens I have from tattered Angels. Thanks alot Deb for doing this RAK!! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMaking Memories?
ReplyDeleteI love GM and have been glimmer misting everything.....did you know it even works on cell phones :)
I have a couple bottles of this stuff and love it!! Don't have the one you are offering. Glad to connect on FB. Remember you from Fiskar's site!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOOOOVE glimmer mist! I don't have these colors and would love to add them! :) Happy Sunday & thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would do almost anything for some New Glimmer Mist!! How exciting is this?
ReplyDelete~:~carol~:~
i not sure what you want but i love mist i put in fridge in summer to cool down
ReplyDeleteWoow amazing colours would love to have a play around with them. Thanks for adding me from Facebook. Look forward to hanging out on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE some Glimmer Mist!!! :) Can't wait for the new colors!
ReplyDeleteHmm, painting on chipboard sounds like Ranger but if you made a scrapbook page you'd need paper so I'm thinking Making Memories instead.
ReplyDeleteIt said it was "never too late," but I think you said you had a winner and that is fine because I alread won anyway!
ReplyDeleteI did just want to say I still haven't tried it or "buyed" it :-) I didn't really look through all of the comments, but I can tell you for sure that it is made by Tattered Angels and it is something I want to try. I am still thinking Marshmellow would be the best color for me to work with so I don't make too much of a mess!!
