Wedding, Easter, and Art, Oh, My!

My head’s in a whirl with all we are doing. We are 16 Days until the wedding. The programs are finally complete. I’m working on escort cards for two events then on to several gifts and one; I hope it turns out, cool book. I’m leaving for Charleston in a few hours with my daughter. Tomorrow morning we will be on an old plantation having her Bridal photo shoot. Tab and I are also having supper with Ms. UnKit herself tonight! I’m in for an exciting two days.

Here are this week’s projects for Artful Legacy Rubber Stamps and More. I can’t wait to get my camera hooked up so you can see the quality of the stamps. They are awesome. You should check out their schedule as Mr. and Mrs. Artful Legacy travel around the United States with conferences, conventions and they teach some awesome classes!  The new projects by Artful Legacy Design Team are starting to go up on the Artful Legacy Blog.  Please check it out and leave them some love!

Egg Hunt

Easter might be over but the scrapbooking is just beginning. I have been dying to use my Sizzix Dies by Tim Holtz and this was a great opportunity to pair up two of my favorite companies.

The birdcage die by Tim was cut from American Craft silver cardstock. I stamped Artful Legacy’s flowers on grungepaper inked with the new Wild Honey and Velvet Victorian Distress Inks. I used Ranger’s Sepia Archival ink and embossed with Vintage Distressed Embossing powders. I added Fire Brick, Scattered Straw, and Peeled Paint distress stickles to accent the flowers. I had just imagined flowers tumbling out of the birdcage.

By the way, this is my beautiful granddaughter having a grand time on Easter.

and i love her

My daughter’s wedding will be on the beach in 16 Days since I’m so focused on the wedding why not a layout with my daughter and her fiancée. This was photo was taken on the dunes at the Isle of Palm. I made a stamped mask in order to create a continuous boarder using Artful Legacy’s Sea Oats’ stamp. I added a strip of sandpaper that I sprayed with Maya Mist Latte Metallic to enhance the beach look with a sand texture. The richness of the Maya Mist is very cool for this type of look.

I’m off and running. Debby’s Dare Demo will be running a sort demo on Saturday or Sunday. Be watching.

  1. Love the I Love Her layout. I can imagine how you are feeling right now so close to the wedding. I was in your position a year ago. We did the save-the-date cards, invitations, and programs. It's a lot of work--enjoy the wedding!
