Guest Blogger: Cindi Barton

I would like you to meet a crafty friend of mine from one of the local scrapbook stores in my hometown: Cindi Barton. Cindi works and teaches at a local scrapbook store that I’ve taught in several times. I got to know Cindi through taking classes together with Wendy Vecchi. We had fun together at a Certified Fiskars Demonstrator’s Training that I taught. I did most of my creative prep for classes at The Stamping Place and Cindi is incredible at seeing colors and structure. She makes creating the perfect page easy.

I hope you enjoy her work as much as I do. I know I’m photo heavy but it’s hard to choose just which one I want to share. This first is Cindi’s most recent mini-book about her son who just graduated from the College of Charleston.

About Cindi from Cindi
I have always been interested in art and design and received both bachelors and masters degrees in Architecture from the University of Illinois. I started scrapping around 1996 when I wanted to document the kids’ first trip to Disney.


I have been working at The Stamping Place since 1999, teaching classes and assisting others with their scrapbook needs. Over the last year, my passion has become small decorative albums, as seen by the pictures. My friends will tell you that I tend to me on the anal side when it comes to putting my designs together, but I think that is the technical side of my education coming out.
 I love to see how different manufacturers papers and designs can be mixed together with stamps and other embellishments to create new and different looks. My favorite companies are Basic Grey, Reminisce, Prima, Kaisercraft, and I use Tim Holtz distress inks on everything.
