Welcome My Friend and Special Guest Blogger: Elizabeth Hill (Giveway)

Although National Scrapbook Day was Saturday many, including myself, are continuing the celebration throughout the month of May. NSD was first set aside by Creative Memories 9 years ago as the first Saturday in May. It's now become a worldwide time to celebrate our craft, our crafty friends, and memory keeping.

Elizabeth Hill and I enjoy the Fellowship of Scrapbookers together here in Lexington, SC. Do you know what I thought was weird? She brings her computer to the crop and does Creative Memories Digi scrapbooking and more. Personally, when I think Creative Memories I did not think pop, modern scrapbooking. Well as we are about to see “This Ain't Your Momma's Creative Memories!”

Elizabeth told me to pick one or two of what she sent me. They are all so amazing I just had to pick them all.

From Elizabeth:
"Creative Memories is much, much more than traditional scrapbooking these days! We still have the top quality scrapbooking products and tools that you have come to expect from CM, but there are also so many digital solutions and simple-to-complete albums . . . one of my favorite new products is the PicFolio expandable album - just slip in photos and/or journaling boxes, and you're done! So easy! Whatever your photo dilemma, Creative Memories offers a solution. Organize. Edit. Create. Share. Call or email me today - I would love to show you more!"

  2. I am impressed. I used to be a CM consultant, several years ago, but haven't seen their materials for a while. hard to keep a consultant in our area. The digital pages are just awesome and so unlike the old CM, glad to see that they are expanding.

  4. Those are beautiful layouts.
My hubby bought me a program A long time age. It was like cut and paste your pictures pretty boring.
The one the digi scrappers do now just blow me away. I am computer challenged, so I just stick to the ol' paper and glue.

  21. Thanks, everyone, for the great feedback!! And thanks, Deb, for the chance to share!

I still love traditional scrapping, so it was hard for me to imagine that I would ever digi-scrap at first...but now I am hooked! The pre-designed pages are a snap to complete (just drag and drop your pics, add a little journaling, and you're done!), but the versatility of the software makes it so easy to play around and be creative!

My two faves about digi-scrappin' are (1) that I can do it in short spans of time...if I just have 20 mins, I can pull out my laptop and work on a page...I have to have large chunks of time (which is hard to come by!) to scrap traditionally; and (2) that I can create it once and print multiple times...great for sports teams, preschool/elementary books, family reunions, etc.

If you are interested in taking the digi-plunge, I'd be glad to help you get started and/or hook you up with a Consultant in your local area. Also, CM has a great digi-group on FaceBook; just search for "Creative Memories - Go Digital" and enjoy! So many great layouts posted!!

Happy Scrappin!! (And feel free to scraplift any of my designs! It's one of my favorite hobbies!!)
