I had a boom of a day yesterday with a desire to scrapbook my brains out. Realize that I usually spend a day or two on a page. I actually got three done yesterday. LOL
Inspiration for me can come from a photo, a piece of paper or just the desire to design. My first page "family traditions" came from a photo I found on Google Images. I loved the layout of the page and decided to try and make it happen as close as I could.

Here is my attempt:
This was from a family reunion several years ago. I have so many photos that I want to get as many on a page with a fun design as I could. I need to so do about 5 more pages and I'll have all the photos scapbooked. Cutting your photos: Donna Downy taught me to be BRAVE and COURAGEOUS and cut those photos. Pick up the focal point and get rid of the rest. It works!
I as inspired by my yard sale for this next page. I was cleaning out everything and ran around this paper line by Daisy D's. I have the girls and boys line. I love it to pieces. I reminds me of the "See Dick Run" series of books when I was little.

Look close and you can see a few of the new unKit product picks used here. BasicGrey - Kioshi Collection - Buttons; Jillibean Soup - Kraft Collection - Shipping Tags - Baggage Claim Check. Awesome colors and the tags are wonderful.
I was inspired by a pillow case for the third layout. I made a pillow case from a kit (that's sad isn't it ... LOL) for ConKerr Cancer This flower was left over from the project. I've been saving it and finally decided to trim it up, machine sewed it to the cardstock and then frayed the edges using Tim Holtz Tonic Studios - Tim Holtz - Retractable Craft Scratcher. Then I just could not stop adding stamps, bling, buttons and more. I used another of unKit's product picks Tim Holtz - Idea-ology Collection - Tissue Tape - Traveler. I love the calendar tape. Easy to use and looks like a mini-version of Tim's calendar stamps form Stampers Anonymous. The white words on top of H's dress is actually the backing of the packaging from Prima! Cool, huh?
No picture of the inspiration.

So what inspires you lately? I've added a "inlinkz" where you can add your link to your blog/gallery to share what inspires you.
Correction and Continued Prayer Request:
Correction on Slaine's (from Two Scrappy Owls) status. Her left side was numb. We do not know know the size of the tumor. She is having a biopsy on Wednesday. She will need the prayers of all of her friends.
Gratitude List

2. fun...it's simple but so necessary
3. heART
4. Ruth and Bob
5. God's Grace for more than what I even need.

love that first layout - great take on it!
ReplyDeleteI like all three of these layouts! I love the packaging over H's dress, very clever. I'll definitely be lifting the pattern for the first layout. What a great display for a large amount of pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love the first layout, love it when you can get a ton of pictures on one page!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. love the fabric accents on the last page.
