Incredible! and a Giveaway

Incredible! That’s the women of Fellowship of Scrapbookers. I put out an email that we were doing our annual Christmas in July crop. Our charity was Operation Write Home. Our goal was to complete 500 cards for our deployed service men and women to send back to their families and friends. All had to meet Operation Write Home specifications.

Ruth and I just had returned Friday afternoon from CHA and Saturday morning we were having a 9am to 9 pm crop. The ladies are and were incredible as they came together to help me decorate, coordinate food and drinks, to help set up tables and get the kits to the tables, and to clean up. A special shout out goes to April for staying until I walked out the door finishing all the cleaning. Incredible.

My husband made sure to take care of lunch, brought tables from our home and the church, and help set up and tear down. My son, bless his heart all day long, worked hard to try and get all the heavy things for the women from their cars to their seat. Lexington Florist donated beautiful corsages for those who have heroes and are heroes themselves.

It was a day of pure fun and delight. They even talked me into making cards as tried as I was! LOL I wish all of you could have been there to enjoy the Price is Right fun we had or having our giggle boxes turned upside down as the day wore on.

Here is my layout I made with our group photo taken by our professional photographer, Kris Copeland and a few candid.

Paper is from Teresa Collins' new Christmas Line.
Stamps are from Artful Legacy (the sleigh and bird)
Letters from Basic Grey

Did we meet our goal? Oh, Yeah!

775 Cards for Operation Write Home.  Incredible!
