HELP! I'm Looking for My Mojo! Giveaway

I've been MIA too much these past few weeks.  I've been busy at this end of teaching and doing demos at Michael's and AC Moores.  I'm also working on a Design Team project for Glue Dots® Adhesives.  In the midst of all this I think my Mojo is hiding from me and I'm having problems finding the formula to jump start it again.  It's time I do something to jump start the creativity again.

That's where you come in.

Leave a comment here and tell me how you find your inspiration, jump start the creativity, find your mojo.  Monday I'll draw a winner for one of Moxxie's cool new lines Moxxie Joy of the Season 12 x 12 Double Sided Papers and Embellishments.  Yep, the whole thing.  I really need my mojo. Double your chances of winning by asking a friend to come leave a comment and leave your name with their comment.

Gratitude List

  3. When my mojo is on vacation and I want to restart it, I do one of two things: go online and check out some of my favorite websites like Prima, for inspiration. Secondly, I flip through one of many Somerset books that I have and that never fails to get me going!

  4. I find that if I go look at my photos I can find one that I can get excited about. I try to think of a feeling I want my page to convey. Next I look at my papers or embellishments to find what I need to get me rolling. I really like to look at magazines but they really don't get me started. When I am having mojo problems they sometimes just make me feel like I could never measure up.

  5. I surround my self with things I love!! Works every time!!

  6. Thank you for that question! I often feel like that.. being a single parent and working full time and helping out with the rest of the family.. where is there time to think and let that creative spark come into play. I start looking at my scrapbooking sites that I've subscribed to. I like watching videos that people have made, that really helps. I have many magazines I can look thru and sometimes I look over what I have done and think hmm how can I enhance that or "kick it up a notch".
I hope you find your mojo and the gratitude list is something I do daily.. sometimes that list right there alone provides my spark and sets me on my next journey.
    Have a blessed day. Monica

When I have lost my mojo, I spend a while going back through old albums or paper projects I have done in the past. It reminds me that i am capable of creating amazing memory pages and seeing the old photos and remembering the stories that they tell make me want to get going on the current memories I am letting go... before I know it, I am back in the game.

  11. I have to say, that I love to browse my favorite sites, BUT I tend to get stuck online...
...so I prefer to look through my pictures and decide which one or more to scrap with. Then I take my box of papers (I don't have that much. (((:) and go through them until I find something I like, the same happens with alphas, stamps, embellies, etc.
    I've never tried using sketches...

    HOPE YOU FIND YOUR MOJO SOON! (((;

  12. Most of my ways have been mentioned, but the ones that work best for me are just to look through pictures and my albums. It brings back that fun warm, fuzzy feeling you get while making new pages and re-living the memories. Also, going through embellishments. A lot of times I buy embellishments with certain ideas in mind and don't get to it right away. So, by going through them, it helps me to remember some of those ideas I have put on hold.

  17. I find my inspiration all over the place. Sometimes it's a magazine, or looking through the Fiskateers gallery, or blog hopping, or looking through my photos, or going through my stash & coming across something that I just "have to" use. Some times going to the craft store & getting something new helps too ;)
Good luck. I hope that you find your mojo soon.

  18. I get out my pictures and then before I know it I'm scraping a page and it goes from there. I also like looking at my books or my projects I've made. Sometimes that helps.

Thanks for the chance to win and hope you find your mojo soon I hate it when that happens to me.

  19. First there is nothing wrong with taking a short break to "recover" from creative overload.... But normally I just splurge on some new supplies and that always get's my creativity pumping. I steer clear of inspiration because for me that just tends to overwhelm me with ideas & not get me creating... once I'm creating again I look everywhere for inspiration & don't have a problem. I know I'm a bit "off" lol

  20. Hi Debbie...that paper is just yummy. I just love it. It reminds me of Christmas when I was a kid..has a real vintage feel. Oh wow did I just say that I was "vintage"? Anyway, that's one way that I get inspired. Go thrifting. With all these wonderful vintage papers out now it seems like I'll run across something and say "ohhh I rememeber those when I was a kid" and then I instantly will think of a picture or several that I want to scrap or even an entire mini album. Lots of times my mojo simply comes from the fact that I want to do something nice for someone else, like make a mini for them so I focus on the persons personality and then just run with it. I look forward to seeing what all you oome up with for your new cricut projects. Have a great Saturday :)

  24. i find a lot of my mojo looking through online crafting galleries. there's ALWAYS an idea to lift or a sketch to try. :) go find your mojo girl!

  25. I hope you find your MOJO real soon.

Whenever, I lose mine, I set up a 6' long craft table in my living room along with my laptop. I browse tutorials online and almost always run across something I have to try. The next thing I know, the craft table has become a permanent fixture in the living room (much to my husband's dismay) and it is covered with punches, stamp pads, embellishments and paper.

Thanks for the chance to win some beautiful Christmas paper.

  26. When I lose my Mojo, I look around at all the wonderful things there are to photograph - ones I already have or ones around me - and my creativity starts rolling what I can do with that. A walk in the woods, flowers in the park, the architect of a bldg, a childs smile, the leaves turning or blowing in the breeze, even a train track... even the song of the birds....

i find mojo in the weirdest places....random blogs, fiskateers, magazines & of course here on your blog. the best part of missing mojo is i think of it as a unwinding to create something fab once it is found, you always seem to rock it !

When I need some inspiration, I clean my work space and organize all my things (you know those bags which are piling up??). I always find some little thing that I bought and forgot about, and then it gets me wanting to get going again. (but finish cleaning up first, haha)

  29. That paper is beautiful!!
When I lose all inspiration I get out my scraps drawer and some blank tags and start making pretty gift tags or embellishments. After a while I seem to get it back.....I'm also finding that doing something creative everyday is helping me keep my inspiration coming!

  30. OH MY! I do sooooo love this paper, but then, I rarely meet paper I don't like... I often find my Mojo by looking at other peoples craftivity.

  31. I have a lot of STUFF. Sometimes I forget why I bought it. Recently, I thought I'd reorganize. That made me just stop and look at what I have. Just doing that inspired me. "Oh, year, that would look great on a card for . . .!" Oh, that would go great with . . .!" Suddenly, I have more ideas than energy! Just browse through the fun stuff you have. You think of ways to play with it!

  32. honestly, my VERY best way to get my mojo flowing, and to find inspiration is to get together with my scrapping friends and just DO IT. It always seems to come back. usually, it's about the time it's time to pack up, lol, but by that time i have my mojo and can keep scrapping once I get back home. For me, it's the friendship and fellowship with fellow scrapers that gets me "in the mood". =)

  33. To reboot my creativity, I generally will look through one of my Take Ten magazines. They have SUCH wonderful inspiration in that magazine! Or sometimes I just close my eyes and pick out a stamp and then close my eyes again and pick out a piece of patterned paper and then I put on a Josh Groban CD and see what I can do.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I surf the web, blog sites and tutorials and gallaries for inspiration when I have lost my mojo, I also flip through my patterned papers and photos and wait to see what inspiration hits me. The papers that you are giving away are beautiful, I have already been inspired to do some Christmas crafting just looking at them!

Well, let's see, I do have some creative juices when I see the fun pics of nieces and nephews willing me to make books, and then I look at various creative cards and pages of my friends for new ideas. My friend Lillian Child does beautiful work, My sister in law, does creative things from many different workshops and Joyce is always finding something new with a kit that I can borrow an idea from.

  36. Since I make cards for our Wounded Warriors and for our troops to send back home to their families, when I need motivation all I need to do is think of them and that gets me going again! I think of when my son was in Afghanistan and then the thoughts start flowing again!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I get my creative mojo started by blog hopping to my favorite paper craft blogs.

  38. beautiful giveaway! First off, my inspiration comes from children and grandchildren! They are so easy to work with, but on the chance that I need the mojo queen to visit me and she won't, I go looking for her on-line and low and behold I usually can find her ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow what a beautiful line! Those trees!!! When my mojo goes astray there area number of things I do to try to make her come home!
Just start playing with the papers etc. Or look through magazines to find something I love. Or... take a day off. Or... I have a list of things I need to use on most of my cards or pages. So I get it out and start getting out the things on my list that match each other. Usually by the time I get to the buttons or ribbons I have a great idea. So for me, it's usually one or two of these an I'm off and creating again. Good luck finding little miss mojo soon.

  40. My most favorite thing to do, is use a sketch pad and draw what I see that I like. I sit in the Dr's offices and zip thru pages of magazines. I may find a porch to a house that i like, because of the arches. So I recreate the arches by drawing in the pad. You don't have to be able to draw you just want the concept you're going to make it your own anyway. I do the same if I am watching TV. There may be an outfit that someone wore and I liked the "lattice" look of the back of the dress, etc. Then when I need MOJO I head for the sketch pad. I drew something out in it because somehow I liked it to begin with :) Hope it makes sense. A lot easier to do then describe to someone.

  41. These papers are really beautiful! To become inspired, I am learning that one needs peace and quiet and time. Without external noise, it is easier to empty the mind, which results in thoughts and ideas that fill the mind. I am finding my best ideas come to me in the still of the night.

  42. What always works for me is crafting with a friend - I then get really enthusiastic and start the craft side of my brain actually working. On my own I'm too likely to drift into blog/video mode instead - LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I hate when the ol' mojo goes on vacation. The way I seem to get inspired is looking around on the internet. I have a list of some inspiring bloggers that I can look at. If that doesn't help there is always You Tube.com
