I'm excited to share all the creative work Connie has been working on this month for heART of Scrapbooking. I have to share with you first that Connie was published this month in Ready, Set, Create using Debby's Design Vintage Tags. She did an over-the-top terrific job. Congratulations Connie!
SPIDERS
SPIDERS
Supply List:
Cardstock: white
Tags: 7gypsies
Stickers: Jenni Bowlin, Making Memories
Embellishments: hemp, buttons and vintage encyclopedia paper
Instructions:
The photo size is 2"x2". I then mounted them on the white cardstock, giving the film strip look and ink around the cardstock, if you like. The next thing I did was steal the middle out of the Moxxie/Loyalty paper, so I would have the frame to make the banner out of. It worked perfect!!! I then added a machine stitch all around the middle square. The banner was made using the courage words ( you need courage to be around spiders!!!) and then I attached the triangles to the hemp completing the banner. I used a mini stapler to attach mine to the layout but what ever works for you. I added the buttons and tags to complete the layout.and don't forget to sign and date your work!!!
"Vintage" Boy Tags
Supply List:
Pattern paper: Graphic45/Steampunk Debutante Collection/Mechanical Mind
Embellishments: twine, buttons, felt, bakers twine, ribbon
Miscellaneous: gold metallic paper, eyelets
Stickers: American Crafts
Directions:
I have so much fun doing these "way cool" tags!!! I first started by double matting the tag and then sewing a machine stitch around it. I added a little topper to hang it from. This way you can tie it to a gift or use a envelope. Then comes the fun part stamp on the sentiment you want to use and embellish to you liking!!! heART of Scrapbbooking has several sets of tags to choose from!!!!
Moxxie Diecut Calendar Kit { The Story 2010 }
Supply List:
Stickers: American Crafts
Tags: 7gypsies
Inks: Tattered Angels, Color Box
Miscellaneous: screen/Tattered Angels, buttons, bakers twine, vintage "key".
Directions:
I really loved the shape of these little calendar pages. I thought the kit would make a great mini album to showcase a few pictures for each month, so with that in mind I started!!! I took one of the pages and outlined the shape making a front and back cover out of chip board. I covered the chip board and sanded the edges down. I used the crop-a-dile to make my holes for the rings, decorated the front with some glimmer mist and a screen and the very "funky" Graphic45 paper!!! I added the tag from 7gypsies and an old "vintage" key, butterfly's cut from the Graphic 45 paper and then started on the inside.

When I started the inside pages, I wanted to have a double page layout for each month. I loved the idea of adding the library envelope to the opposite page to journal on and to add mementos for that month. I printed out five pictures for each month and left them in a strip. Then I cut off what I needed to add to each side of the months layout. In the photos you can see my approach to having a cohesive mini album. My album is done through September and will finish up as we go through the rest of the year!!! heART of Scrapbooking has all the products you need to do this project even down to those "adorable" library envelopes!!
Hope you enjoyed this and have a wonderful day!!!!
