Welcome Connie Mercer!

What awesome, creative layouts and card design team member Connie Mercer came up with using My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup Collection that can be found at heART of Scrapbooking.  Connie is truly incredible.

Title: 2 today!

Supply List:
Pattern paper: My Mind's Eye/Alphabet Soup~boy
Stickers: American Craft, My Mind's Eye
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye

Directions:
I first double matted the My Mind's Eye pattern paper. Than I added a third piece down the middle~just to add more color to the layout and enhance the photos I was using. Next I double matted the photo (4x6) and place it in the middle of the layout. I did a strip of photos on the left and a strip of the alphabet cards on the right. I stitched them on adding texture and interest to the layout. I titled the layout and added the sticker and brads!!! Then all that was left was to journal the day and sign my work!!!

Title: this is what happy looks like

Supply list:
Pattern paper: My Mind's Eye/Alphabet Soup boy
Cardstock: American Crafts
Stickers: American Crafts
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye, buttons

Directions:
I double matted two of the My Mind's Eye pattern paper on cardstock and then machine stitched around the inside of the pattern paper leaving a border. I laid a strip photos down the middle and put a larger (4x6) in the center of the strip. I clustered stickers and buttons at the bottom of the (4x6) photo. I titled the layout, journaled and dated.

Title: Off to Work: my car or yours

Supply List:
Pattern Paper: My Mind's Eye/Alpha Soup~boy
Stickers: My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket
Embellishments: 7gypsies, buttons, bakers twine

Directions:
I started this layout by double matting the pattern paper. I then used a 2" strip of pattern paper across the middle and then a 1" strip down the center of the 2" strip.

I then machine sewed a messy line up and down on both sides. I left the strings hanging. I then added the photos to the center. I used two 4x6 photos ~ one being a collage of four. I added the journal card and titled my layout. This was a very fun day~wish you could have been there.

Supply List:
Pattern paper: My Mind's Eye / Alphabet Soup ~ boy
Cardstock: American Crafts
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye
Stamp set: Stampin' Up!

Directions:
These were fast and easy and turned out so cute!!! Great cards for children. I took all of my left over strips from the layout's I did and machine sewed them on to the front of the card. Then I cut off the over hang from both sides of the card. I placed the sticker to the left side, but could be your choice, stamped my sentiment on and added a brad. I stamped the front of the envelope also.

Title: Flash card set

Supply list:
Pattern paper: My Mind's Eye/Alphabet Soup ~ boy
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye Stickers and brads, jute, bakers twine, My Little Shoebox alpha stickers.

Directions:
This was super fun to make and to see my grandson enjoy it so much made me happy!!! The first thing I did was measured the size of my front cover ( the cover of the library book pocket card) and machine stitched around it. I then adhered it to the front space. I then covered the inside pocket space with a different pattern paper.

The next thing to do is add a sticker animal to the front of the pocket and embellish with the bakers twine and a button. Title your flash cards to you liking~maybe using the child's name in the title. Add the brad to the top and you are ready to make your holes in the cards and string them together and tie. I used the Crop-a-dile to make my holes and I set an eyelet in the first card so the cards would not pull out with use.

The next picture is of the back of the project. I wanted to show you I added the library record card to the back so it could be used for journaling a cute story related to the use of the cards or to record when the cards were used.  Hope you enjoyed this!!!
