Day 2 of Home for the Holidays: Welcome Tami Bayer!

I first got to know Tami when she was working with Scrapbook News and Review.  She challenged me to get involved in an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap.  I loved it.  I finally got to meet her at the Craft and Hobby Association Craft Show this past summer as one of the new Lead Fiskateer for Fiskars.  Not only is she talented, she is a wonderful person as well.  She is really a great Ambassador of Crafting.

Welcome Tami Bayer!

I like to give my nieces and nephews gift cards to go shopping with. I love to get the interactive gift cards that play music or have little lights on them, and I include a little candy in their package.

I make my own holders to fit the size of the gift card. Here's a tutorial for one of the gift cards holders I'm making this year. I haven't yet gone shopping for the gift cards, so I'll probably have to amend the dimensions a bit, but the basic idea works no matter the size you need.

The dimensions of this are 4 1/2" x 9" and it's scored at 3 1/4" and 6 1/2". It goes together really simply and using a double sided cardstock makes a sturdy card. You can use any ready made embellishments you have left over from other projects as well.

I hope you'll find time to make a few gift card holders this season.
