The much anticipated, whirlwind week is upon us! My little girl is having a little girl this week. Life is about to change again. I love it. This is my daughter's first professional picture. I still have the blanket she is using in this photo.
With this week upon us that means I am going to be busy being the mom and grandma. So I thought you would enjoy a wonderful giveaway in celebration. Since I'm in the mood of Spring I thought you would enjoy an opportunity to win the New Release from Fiskars --Butterfly Border Punch.
Leave a comment on what time the baby will be born. We already know the date. We also know it will be between 1 and 3 o'clock. This should be so easy. I'll draw a winner from the closest time or in case of multiple correct answers I'll draw a winner from the correct answers. Send a friend, have them leave a comment adding "___________ sent me" for more opportunities to win. I will announce a winner on Friday.
I do have a Glue Dots® Adhesives Spring project to share later this week. I suppose I'm so ready for Spring it's easy to leave Winter behind! And the fact that it is in the 80's in SC. Today it is going to reach 85 degrees!
I do have a layout I did a couple of weeks ago. I'll give you the short version.
I have always loved the designs by Melody Ross. Her story of how she started the wonderful company Chatterbox is incredible. When I first began scrapbooking I would buy every piece of Chatterbox paper I could find. The texture as well as the design was top of the line. Eventually Melody sold Chatterbox to Ultra Pro (7gypsies). Fast forward. Melody began designing for GCD. I could never find the paper. While at Hobby Lobby I ran across one pact of GCD designed by Melody. Hurray!
Note: Melody Ross with her sister Kathy Wilkins founded Brave Girls Club. Read more at Brave Girls Club website.
The paper, the chipboard, and the epoxy embellishments are all from Melody Ross's collection Homespun Chic.
I added a bit of Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist with Prima's mask. Lesson: don't mist with "like" color as the pattern paper. You don't get the effect of a mask as well.
This is my mother around 1959. She always makes her cakes from scratch. No boxed stuff. She makes some of the best cakes you will ever eat. I guess my next project is to bake a cake Mom's way!
I'm looking forward to introducing my grandbaby to you.
Happy Crafting!
