Fix 'er Up with Glue Dots® Adhesives...RAK/Giveaway

Glue Dots® Adhesives are so versatile.  I predominately craft with my Glue Dots, but I've been checking out the "power of the dot" with other projects around my house.

Fix 'er Up One

This is more like a project, but I used Glue Dots® Adhesives because I was frustrated with trying to do what the local framer had told me.

Tabitha's mother-in-law gave her the silverware David used as a baby.  Tabitha wanted to frame them in a shadow box for Little Honey's room.  The framer told us to use a clear type thread and sew a loop around the next of the fork, knife, and spoon.

I was frustrated with trying to make it look right.  So I pulled out my Glue Dots® Adhesives Craft.  Placed a one Dot at the top and one on the bottom of the silverware.  Placed it on the back ground of the shadow box.  Gave the piece a good shaking to make sure it wasn't coming off.  Presto!  Now I'm into making shadow boxes!

Fix 'er Up Two

I have this beautiful photo of my grandmother and grandfather that hangs in my living room.  For the life of me I've never been able to get it straight.  I had placed a small pin near the bottom of the frame in the wall to keep it straight.

I removed the pin and place a Removable Glue Dots® Adhesive on the back of the picture frame, centered the frame where I wanted it, and pressed. It hasn’t moved since! It’s nice to not have an unsightly pin just hanging on the wall.

Fix 'er Up Three

I have three Fiskars Easy Stamp Presses. I’ve had them for several years and use the Press teaching classes, doing demos, and my personal use.  They have certainly received a work out.

The Easy Stamp Press has these little sponge/foam “feet.”  My Press "feet" kept losing its grip and falling off. I knew that liquid glue would soak into foam and stiffen. Tape runner did not hold for long.

Glue Dots® Adhesives to the rescue!

I used one Craft Dot on the each “foot” that was having problems staying attached and ta-da no more loose feet. It works like new!

  12. I love the idea that they are strong and removable when YOU want them to be...my craft room is in the basement, and has cement walls, so I really can't hang anything easily. When I saw your silverware shadowbox, I remembered I have some old silverware I have collected over the years, and I think I would try doing something like you did first !

  22. Awww, your doggie is adorable Debby. I love the silverware in the frame and this is a great use of glue dots. I often use glue dots to hold down ribbon for various projects. Sometimes those bows just WILL NOT stay where you want them too.
