Glue Dots® Adhesives: I Just Couldn't Wait! (Winner)

I just couldn't wait to post this cute Easter/Spring project.  If you haven't noticed yet I'm in love with Graphic 45's Once Upon A Springtime paper line.  I think it's because of the new granddaughter.  It just lends itself to a magical world of new beginnings.

Easter Cone
Every year I give my grandchildren a basket of goodies for Easter. Since one of my granddaughters is getting a bit older I thought I would make something a bit more mature for her “basket.”

Glue Dots® Adhesives Used in this Project:
Macro
Craft
Continuous Line

Print or trace the pattern, cut, and assemble the cone by using Glue Dots® Adhesives Continuous Line.
Punch a border strip of 12 inches. I used Fiskars Spring Border Punch Butterfly. Ink the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage. With the border flat on the table, adhere a line of Glue Dots® Adhesives Continuous Line. Starting at the back of the cone adhere the strip around the top cutting off any excess. Do the same with your favorite ribbon. This ribbon is from American Craft.

Here’s the part I’ve been dying to try. The metal frame is from Making Memories. Turn the frame over and place Glue Dots® Adhesives Macro dots on the top, bottom, and sides. Place your frame over your design or photo. Use your craft knife to cut around the edges. The Macro dots hold beautifully. Add pearls with Glue Dots® Adhesives Marco then adhere the framed piece to the cone with Glue Dots® Adhesives Craft.

Embellish your cone with flowers, butterflies, tags, and more.

Add your ribbon handle and fill with chocolate or that special gift.
