Question of the Day
Do you have a Junk Drawer?  Jim and I have always had a junk in our home.  It's usually on the cabinet drawers  inthe kitchen and it is full of odds and ends that have no place to go.  Some of the antique shops here sell "Junk Drawer Starter Kit!"  I laughed so hard the first time I saw these.  A Mason Jar is decorated and filled with old buttons, safety pins, and more.

I have a crafty "Junk Drawer."  When 7gypies came out with their printer trays I bought several.  I could not resist using one for my crafty Junk Drawer.  I lined each compartment with paper.  It sits next to the space I use for scrapbooking.

What happens is when I have an odd or end item it goes there.  If I find a one piece item I may throw it in the printers tray.  Sometimes I just want the item closer to my crafting to inspire me.  Often I'm working on a piece and "Aha" moment happens and I use something from the tray.

Question of the Day:  "What are three items in your 'junk drawer.'"  Let me know by leaving a comment and for another opportunity to enter the drawing.

Have a great Crafty Day!

  7. I have several. One in the kitchen, dining room and bathroom. When I need spare change or nails, I go to the kitchen, and when I need rubber bands, I go to the DR china cabinet and when I need hair binders or little bottles of shampoo, I rifle through the bathroom drawer!

  8. We are what you might call surface challenged, meaning if it's flat, it's full. So, no, I don't have a junk drawer. It keeps my drawers somewhat neater. Althought that means that this kind of stuff needs a home and I'm still working on that. I have a basket that sit on one of my counters that collects a few misc items, but I clean it out almost every day. We just added an area by the back door that includes three hooks, and two eighteen inch shelves where I keep one tub for items to return to the garage and one for the studio. It's not a perfect answer, but its working better than anything before.

Now my crafting is different! I have a rolling tool box (you know, the big red kind?) and each top drawer is lined with no skid liners and there are trays and trays of divided items similar to your printer tray Debbie.

I have a crafty junk bucket (instead of a drawer) - 3 things in it would be some buttons, a piece of metal I picked up off the ground, and a small old drawer pull/handle!
