  1. I love your pics of your son! I was getting a little sad reading this post because I have three boys and I was just thinking about when they graduate...the funny thing is the oldest is 5 and the youngest is 1, so it's a ways away, but I know it'll be like a bilnk of an eye!
One of the things I love about your blog is the "what I learned" part that you post after you show off your amazing art! I am a follower ;)
Have a great time enjoying your son's graduation!
    Congratulations Jacob!

  5. When my youngest daughter graduated High School, I was still reeling from the death of my Mother in March and my beloved Cocker Spaniel, Betsy, earlier that month. As my daughter received her diploma, I wept. My Hubby hugged me and said,"Don't cry, this is a good thing". I started laughing through the tears and said,"I was thinking about Mom, and how if she was here, she would be complaining how hot it is..."

I am already a follower. One of the things I love about your blog is your gratitude list.

  7. Debby, I am a follower and read every one of your blogs. I just don't comment enough! I love the way your style has grown. Mine is still evolving! I am similarly blessed with granddaughter babysitting. Sequoia hit 17 months yesterday. I've been keeping her a couple days a week, but that will soon be 5 days a week. Don't know how I will fit my crafting in, but I do feel blessed to be part of this sweet life! I'm on oxygen 24/7, so chasing the wee one is exhausting, but what better "ministry" could a gramma have! I know we will both enjoy this path we are on!

  8. ahh.. your sweet Jacob has grown up! my Jacob graduated last year.. i cried buckets during the days leading up to graduation.. only a mother can understand the emotional roller coaster of watching her "baby" become an adult. Congrats to the Grad :) we will keep you in our prayers

  9. How they grow so fast. I too cried at my children's graduation. I couldn't believe they were all grown up (or I was that old already, not sure which...LOL). I really don't have a story to share about it. Each had a normal graduation although my daughter was valedictorian so she did a speech that mentioned how thankful she was to me (her mom) and how much I taught her (emphasizing that there was more to learn than just what is in school and life is an endless learning experience that they all need to take part of) which really made me cry.

  10. Have fun with all the family. Graduation story: I remember it rained buckets on my graduation and we had these disposable grad. gowns that had these huge water spots on them!

  12. I have been a follower of your blog for a long time Deb. (under the name buckskinbelle through google) My favorite thing about your blog is your Gratitude List at the end of every post. So enjoyed the choir video of your son. It brings back wonderful memories of our oldest daughters love and gift of a beautiful singing voice. She was in show choir, musicals and many solos in school and church. I think I cried or had tears in my eyes each time she sang and I had a lump in my throat listening to your son sing. Enjoy this special time in your son/families life!

  21. Happy Friday! Memory sharing: We will never forget our oldest daughters graduation from HS. A tornado hit our town the night before and all the power was out. A generator was rented, but would only last one hour at the school so it was hot and a very fast service to get done in time before the lights in the gym went out. All the kids had to get dressed in the dark in the halls. Our home was one of only a very few that had power - thank goodness because of all the food I prepaired. So many of our friends lost all their food!

  30. Hi Debby! Just popping in to tell you about our city's grad parade...I thought it fitting, since it was today. Every year on grad day, the students that our graduating have a parade through town to show off the girls dresses and hair and the boys suits. They have a parade route mapped out that ends at our Rec Center where they have their prom. They usually borrow cool cars, or some get pulled by trailers and have an actual float...a friend of mine's youngest son graduated this year and him and his friends had a hot tub being pulled by a trailer that they all sat in! It's kind of neat to see what they come up with, and the community all comes out to give support and congratulations to all the grads. It's pretty cool :) Hope you're having a great weekend!
