Cards and More

I had some fun mixing my gift with my card for Easter for my children. Each of the three oldest are into gardening in one form or another.  So I picked up some herb seeds for each one of them that became the base of my cards.

I used a Spellbinder die, twine, a button, and K&Company paper.  I cut out the scallop and whipped the twine around the flower and added a button to the center.  I hot glued the lace to the back of the flower then adhered the flower to the seeds.  I added a "Happy Easter" using my Dymo Label Maker. The butterfly is from the same paper just cut out and inked around the edges.

Since joining Pinterest my family has come to expect the unexpected at family holiday meals.  Thanksgiving it was cookie and kisses acorns.  Christmas was melting snowmen.  Easter was Jello filled oranges.  I saw these on Pinterest and had to give it a try.  They were so easy.

I cut the oranges in half and scooped out the orange, which we ate later.  Placing the oranges on a muffin tin I poured the different color/flavor jello into the oranges.  I used the jigglers recipe and refrigerated overnight.  In the morning I quartered the halves.  Everyone loved them.  The orange flavor infuses the Jello.  Yummy, cool, and delightful to look at.
