This is the week of birthdays and anniversaries. I sat down this weekend to make two birthday cards for my granddaughters. I needed to do something quick. For me that means less than a couple of hours. LOL
During Winter CHA releases I found Christy Tomlinson's work, specifically her stamps. I fell in love with her two girl stamps....SHE Leaped and SHE was a daughter.
So these past few days I decided to look around Christy's blog, website, ART, etc. I kept running into a workshop called SHE Art. It is incredible. This class is now on my to do list for the year.
I decided to use my stamps with a twist to make the cards. This is my first time even attempting this and is not even a shadow of what Christy and those who take the class create. But I did have enough fun I'm going to be playing with the style more.
How it got from a card to a layout: After playing with the stamp figure I was looking at the background paper and my imagination was in overtime. I wanted something bigger than a normal size card or tag. I wanted to continue to paint, draw, and cut. So I ended up with two small layouts.
First is my granddaughter Hannah.
Ingredients: Making Memories Just Chillin' Paper; American Crafts Thickers; Making Memories tiny alpha; Hero Arts flowers stamp; Christy Tomlinson SHE Leaped stamp by Unity Stamps; mulberry paper; Kaisercraft bling; Fiskars paper crimper; water color pencils and water pen.
My oldest granddaughter, Amber.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful girls.
