Today was to be the day to announce the winners of the two $25.00 Walmart gift cards from X-ACTO. Because I interrupted my blogging last week for personal reasons I am going to extend the challenge until Tuesday midnight and announce the winners on Wednesday.
This past Saturday was the baby shower for my granddaughter who is due at the end of August. I put X-ACTO to work helping me create the decorations for our Little Spout's shower.
This is just a few of the items. I will share the rest on Wednesday along with a winner.
Banner Inspiration came from Michael's Arts and Crafts, but it was X-ACTO Z-Series craft knife that made it easy to cut through the corrugated board. I also used my "old" X-ACTO craft knife to peel sections of the top layer of paper for that shabby look.
The flowers are from Spellbinders scalloped circle, Prima paper and leaves, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, a piece of paper doily, and a button.
Flower Ribbon is from American Crafts. I'm not sure about the letters, but they were painted with Ranger White Picket Fence Paint Dabbers.
After peeling off several sections of the top paper I painted the banner with acrylic paint. I added Martha Stewart's glue over sections of the banner and added Diamond Dust for a bit of sparkle.
X-ACTO Z-Series helped a lot with my bird houses. I layered Graphic 45 paper on the both sides of each bird house and trimmed the excess with my X-ACTO craft knife. I used Wendy Vecchi's Art Part leaves and more Graphic 45 paper, layering the paper on the Art Part then using my X-ACTO craft knife trimmed very closely to the leaves. I was able to trim close enough I did not have to "sand" the edges to get it even.
Lots of Prima Flowers and Buttons
Yummy popcorn. I made the labels with Spellbinders' Scalloped Circle die.
Entryway to the Baby Shower. Party idea from Kara's Party Ideas.
So much more on Wednesday!
Giveaway for this Wednesday: go and "LIKE" X-ACTO's Facebook Page, leave them a comment that you came from D's Paper Studio and then leave me a comment that you did do it! I'll draw two winners for the $25.00 each Walmart Gift Card and announce it on Wednesday.
If you do not have a Facebook account leave a comment about your most creative fun you've had with a craft knife.
Oh, here is the wonderful couple that is having my sweet grandgirl, Sprout.
Update on Eddie: his eyes are open and if following people around in the room with his eyes. That is progress. There are so many unanswered questions about his condition and future other than the ultimate answer. Eddie is certainly in God's Hands. Thank you for your continuing support and prayers.
Have a Crafty Day!
