Refrigerator Art part 3 ... birthday invitations

I love birthday "postcards" over the folding birthday invitations.  It is so much easier to scrapbook postcards.  My daughter is an artist in her own right and she designed this postcard invitation to Little Honey's first birthday.  All photos on the invitation are by Tabitha Safdi Photography

Ingredients:  Graphic 45's A Ladies Diary; Technique Tuesday Postage Frame chipboard; My Mind's Eye "girl"; Making Memories tiny alphas; Fiskars Diamond border punch; Basic Grey rub-ons; K&Co. flowers and pin; Prima bling, lace, and leaves; Maya Road "12"; Cosmo Cricket Glubers; Tim Holtz distress ink Vintage Photo and Antique Linen, Distress Stain Antique Linen, Distress Ink pen Tattered Rose, and button from idea-ology;Inkadinkado sand castle stamp;

The sand castle stamp is one of my favorites. I stamped this on pattern paper and cut it out for a cool embellishment.

The white flower was made with Cosmo Crickets Glubers, lace, and a Tim Hotlz button.

The K&Co. flowers were originally a pale yellow.  I used my Distress pens and light tinted it with Tattered Rose then ran my water pen over it and it gave the flowers a nice pink hue.

I added Basic Grey's old rub-ons Wholy Cow to the pattern paper for a bit of character.

The scallop on the bottom is actually the piece I cut off the "Girl" piece.  I didn't want to waste so I added it back into the layout.

I want to thank my blog sponsors for the past few months for some awesome giveaways and for everyone of you for "playing" along.

August is my busy month and I won't be posting as much as usual for a few weeks.  I'm not MIA, I'm just making memories.  My Little Honey starts school this month and my son goes back to college.  I feel like I'm going to be an empty nester in a way.  But we have a new grandbaby girl due at the end of the month so that feeling won't last long.

I'm also working on the 12 Days of Home for the Holidays.  This will be my 4th year and I'm excited about the guests we are going to have.  I can't wait!

Have a Crafty Day!
