Little Honey is still preparing for the 2024 Summer Games! LH has been part of a gym since she was 6 months old. She loves the balance beam and the parallel bars. She's pretty good with it too. One of the medal winners this year actually started with his grandfather taking him to Little Gym.
It can happen it again!!
Nine Photos this time. This was actually my first layout in the series of multi-photo layouts for LH's book. I used a sketch from Becky Fleck's book Page Maps. All that empty space. Wow...it was so very hard for me to just leave it alone.
Ingredients: Bo Bunny Little Miss paper; Basic Grey paper and chipboard flourish; Prism white paper (flowers); Maya Road metal flowers and pin; Prima bling; Moxxie buttons; Queen and Co. felt swirls; Glitz Design letters; Tim Holtz Distress Ink vintage photo; Ranger white enamel; rick rack and various brads.
I loved using the large photo. I may do this more often in conjunction with small photos. You know this was a challenge too when I do a two page layout.
I did an odd thing and probably, thinking back, could have done it so differently. The felt swirl seem too off white and thin enough to see some of the background color coming through. I went over it with Ranger's white enamel. It worked terrifically.
I love that grandgirl of mine!
After this weekend life will slow down and I'll be back on the normal blog circuit. The line up for the 12 Days of Home for the Holidays is beginning to come together with some terrific crafty blog guests. I can't wait to share.
Have a Crafty Day!

ReplyDeleteYou are creating some awesome 2-pagers, Debby, and inspiring me in the process. I really need to do more of them. I hear ya on the "empty" space. I have a tough time leaving it alone too but it looks really great.
ReplyDeleteGreat 2 page spread, I love the swirls under the photos. x
ReplyDeleteI love the swirls for "tumbling" on this layout. Super cool.
