Now I Know Why! Scrapbook Layout

Do you ever wonder why it is so hard to throw away all the leftover pieces from a layout, mini-book, or other craft project.  Every couple of years I have to purge my scrap pile.  BUT every now and then I run across a great sketch that calls out to me to use all those scraps I've been saving.

For this sketch I had not saved my scraps very long as it is left overs from several Bo Bunny Little Miss layouts I had created.  The sketch is from Susan Stringfellow from SketchSavvy Blog.  Susan has an incredible blog.  Like always, I changed it up a bit.  Susan's sketch called for one 4" x 6" photo and I used 3 3" x 3" photos.

Ingredients:  Bo Bunny Little Miss collection; Prima crystals, epoxy and rhinestone embellishments, crochet flower;  Tim Holtz strip die cut for accordion flowers, Distress Ink Vintage Photo; Fiskars Large Scalloped squeeze punch and large Round n' Round squeeze punch; We Are Memory Keepers Twine; EK Success pen; vintage typewriter for journaling;  black acrylic paint and foam stamps for the title

These photos are part of Little Honey's trip to Florida this past July to visit her Great Grandparents.  Gigi is my mother.  I know mom loved playing with LH and LH loves her Gigi.

Personal
I had a pretty good 54th birthday yesterday.  I received a new camera.  Hurray!  Now I'm just working hard at learning how to use it.  I had some fun with my crafty/artist friend Ruth who gave me a window...a real vintage window...for my b-day.  Only I would be so excited.  LOL  I received other gifts and outpouring of love from my family and friends.  My Facebook page was inundated with over 300 birthday greetings!  Unreal.  Needless to say, I had a great day.

Have a Crafty Day!
