Boo Banner

Since I was in the mood for banners I decided to make a "BOO" banner for Halloween from my Halloween stash that keeps growing every year.  This one hangs on my fireplace as long as it doesn't get too cold!

Ingredients:  American Craft Card stock; computer font for BOO; Sizzix embossing folder circles for BOO; Tim Holtz Distress Ink vintage photo; Martha Stewart spider web border punch...

...Quickutz witch die cut; Ranger black and white paint dabber; Wilton doily; Tattered Angel's pumpkin spice mist; Ranger fine black embossing powder and embossing ink; Prima flower; Fiskars scalloped circles; red Clear Snaps spritz; "Halloween from Teresa Collins spooktacular...

After misting the Tattered Angels and drying the doily I used the clear embossing in pad to ink around the outer edges and sprinkled the fine black embossing powder.  Before heating with my Ranger heat tool I used a soft paint brush to remove any embossing powder from the center of the doily.  I'm totally in love with the effect.

....Wilton small doily that looks like it has spider web edges; Sizzix haunted house die; Ranger black paint dabber and rock candy crackle paint;  not sure about the "Spooktacular" and spider (I bought it in 2008); I embossed the letters with circles and inked the edges with distress ink...

"Beware" Lil' Davis; web and bat Bazzill Chips; paper for scalloped circles and background of the house Lil' Davis; I didn't cover the entire web with paint to give it a distress look.

ghost Bazzill Chips; "boo!" Lil' Davis...

Quickutz Cat die cut; Jolee chain and key; "Scaredy Cat" Moxxie Trick or Treat; I embossed the center of the doily with a background stamp with words and embossed them then proceeded to emboss the edges; bat cut from Lil Davis paper; eye's of the cat colored with Distress Markers and whiskers dabbed with rock candy stickles;

I hooked them together with C rings and added ribbon to the ends and fun spider webbing to accent the banner.

It was totally fun to make and used a bit of my older scraps.  I'm working on a fun pumpkin I'll share at the next post.  Have I told you yet I love the Holidays?!

Have a Crafty Day!
