There was no doubt who Ali looked like when she was born...her beautiful mother. Ali is our red-head, blue eye wonder.
It wasn't long until little Ali began to smile. When Ali smiles she does it with her whole face. Her smile is from ear to ear and chin to eyes. Her eyes light up. Your first response is to smile as big as she does.
I went back into my older photos and found one of Ali's dad, my son, from the same age and behold there was that same happy smile and beautiful eyes. I could see a bit of Adam of our little Ali through their wondrous smiles.
Ingredients: Graphic 45 Little Darlings paper collection and chipboard embellishments; American Crafts rosette and crochet ribbon; Donna Downy/Prima banner; We R Memory Keepers twine; Tattered Angels letter "A"; Tim Holtz distress inks tattered rose; tea dye and vintage photo; Studio Calico mask; Wilton Doily; 2 smiles!
I wasn't as happy with the mask work..totally my fault. I heard rave reviews about the Studio Calico masks and found this at Hobby Lobby. I was dieing to use it so I did. A bit too subtle on the pattern paper. I should have used a white or at least a light acrylic paint. But I do love the mask.
Fiskateer Weekend Event
D's Paper Studio will be along the blog hop and I'm looking forward to checking out all the Fiskteers' sites. FYI: Fiskateers is an online community of crafters hosted by Fiskars. Fiskars will have prizes to giveaway for those who complete the hop. You don't have to be a Fiskateers to be eligible, but it is cool. I am sure you will probably find a Fiskars giveaway right here as well. Save the Date and I'll see you along the Orange Hop trail. Here is the starting place on Friday...Fiskateers Blog.
