Unique Trick or Treat Container / December Daily

I am fabulously busy!  I love being busy with grandchildren and crafts.  Don't the two go together perfectly?

My granddaughter, Little for short, is going as Elmo this year.  They have come out with a costume version that is a dress for little girls and this little one is in love withe Elmo.  You know I had to make something unique for her to go with her costume so what's Elmo without his best friend Dorothy?

I had a clear pail I had picked up from AC Moores a few years ago and decided to make a simple Trick or Treat carry tote...fish bowl... for Little.

I lined the inside of the bucket with Bo Bunny's Double Dot, Aquamarine, paper after cutting out the "water" effect on the top.  This is one 12 x 12 sheet cut in half.  I found the art of Dorothy on the internet and printed it out on white card stock.

I used the piece I cut off the top of the lining to place around the bottom outside of the bucket for a bit of 3 dimensional effect.  LH had to have some "rocks" in her bowl so I added epoxy Rain Dots to the outside.  I did add a bit more adhesive to it for staying power through several Trick or Treat sessions.

Quick bubbles with Fiskars circle thumb punch and Round n' Round squeeze punch.

Inside has more room that is needed for treats.

I am beginning to get excited about doing Ali Edward's December Daily again this year.  I love to do something different and this year I think I have it.  Do you know what this is?

This is Vintage 1970's Psychedelic Art Platter Pak 45 Record Case.  Music is a big part of my memories of Christmas and of course I'm from that 70's generation of records.

As I was looking around antique shops and flea markets I saw several of these and I just knew I wanted to make my December Daily book inside this.  I am still working out the details and I'm going to incorporate Christmas 45 lps.  I can't wait to see what I do!  LOL

Have a Happy World Card Making Day Saturday!
