Irene's scrapbook pages have wowed me from the first day I saw her work. She is an incredible scrapbooker/paper artist. I really wanted you to meet her and hopefully share in my enthusiasm for her work. Welcome Irene Tan!
Hello everyone! I'm Irene Tan from Malaysia. Debby is so sweet to
invite me to share with you all a little about how my family celebrate
Christmas locally here.
First of all, in Malaysia, Christmas is not celebrated as widely as some other countries. Malaysia is a multi-racial country and we have various festive holidays celebrated by different race. As for my family, we are kind of free-thinker when it comes to festivals. Me and my husband would like to let the kids explore and participate in different kinds of festive celebrations. Therefore, for Christmas, I would also set up a Christmas tree and have some small Christmas traditions in our home.
Every year, I would create some simple handmade ornaments to add to the tree and some small decorations for the house.
Celebrating Christmas also helps me to keep the kids in good behavior
throughout the year...LOL! Well, that's one of the criteria for them to
get the stuffs in their wish list. I love to see their faces light up
when they open their presents.
Even though we do not have a big feast during Christmas, it is great
that the family gets to spend time together! That is the most important
thing of all festive seasons! Hope you all have a wonderful and amazing
time with your love ones this Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
Irene Tan
