Feathers? A Scrapbook Page

The "cleansing" of the craft studio is all but over.  No one can believe how much product I had in my studio.  Incredible.  There will be a scrapbook yard sale in the near future!

With the room cleaned I was finally able to do a bit of creating.

A trend I was noticed before Winter CHA was the use of feathers on scrapbook layout.  In the mist of the cleaning I found a small bag of feathers.  So I thought I would incorporate the feather's into my layout of my grand-girl, Little.

Ingredients:  Prima paper and Pearls; Core'dinations paper; Technique Tuesday chipboard hearts; Maya Road words; K&Co. pink bird; Recollections bird and charms; Inkadinkado stamp; Ranger embossing ink, embossing powder, Distress Ink peacock and antique linen; Fiskars x-large heat squeeze punch, button, FEATHERS.  The heart border design was lifted from Lydia Jackson (via Facebook).

I placed two of the heart shapes together, stamped with embossing ink and added embossing powder...what I didn't do was the extra little "tap, tap" to remove all the excess powder.  Leaving the small grains gives it more for a vintage look.  I went over everything with the antique linen ink.  I loved how it turned out.

Finally, we are at the feathers.  If you think working with glitter is an adventure then working with tiny feathers can bring the same type of adventure.  Pick one out the package and 10 more seem to "follow" you out.  Put the feather in the position you want it and the next thing you know it is on the other side of the page. Afterwards I found tiny feathers on the floor.  LOL  I used Glue Dot Adhesive, Craft, to adhere my feathers on the page and added the bird on top of it.  I think I really like the softness the feathers bring to the page.

It was a great adventure!

Have a Crafty Artsy Day!
