Incredible Project ... Baby Shower Crafts

This past weekend my daughter hosted a baby shower for one of her oldest friends.  Of course she had to have a wonderfully made diaper cake.  My daughter believes this is the most beautiful of all the diaper cakes I've made.  Well, it wasn't just me, my daughter and I collaborated on this cake.

I have several views and hope you enjoy.

Lets Break It Down
3 Packs of size 1 diapers
Small and Large Rubber Bands
Burlap Ribbon and white Ribbon from Hobby Lobby
Glue Dots Adhesives, Permanent
2 Pringle Cans
Diaper Pins
Tulle
Wilton Cake Skirt
Cake Stand
Chop Sticks
WeRMemory Keepers Pink Twine
Fiskars Jemmi Bowlin's Scalloped Banner Squeeze Punch Large
2 Chop Sticks
5 or 6 small gifts for the outside
2 or 3 gifts for the inside

There are many video on YouTube that explain how to put together the base.  When I started making Diaper Cakes I watched about ten videos.  But I'm slow.  LOL  I've always used bottles in the center of the cake but we wanted to add an extra surprise so we used Pringles cans.  The first can is full length with several small gifts inside the can.  The second can was cut down to about 1/4 of the can.

We added the Burlap Ribbon, tightly, and put them together with the Glue Dots Adhesives.  The next round was the white ribbon, centered and pinned to the burlap.  It is such a beautiful combination.  Add the gifts to the Ribbon and Burlap with pins.

The top of the cake was ingenuous!  We added two chop sticks leftover from a Chinese meal.  My daughter printed out "Baby Girl."  Using the Jenni Bowlin punch, we punched out the shape of the banner and a blank banner piece for the back.  We added the twine, placed the banner pieces together on the twine with Glue Dot Adhesives and tada...we have the finishing touches to a beautiful collaboration.

My daughter created these cute, inexpensive signs for the food.

Black frames from the Dollar Tree.

Painted with chalkboard paint.  How wonderful is that?

My daughter did so much more for the baby shower and showed the loving care for her friend.
