A Date in Eygpt? Sketch Challenge

Lisa Swift has an amazing blog full of creative layouts, cards, and crafts.  I saw this sketch challenge by Simple Scrappers on Lisa's blog, Remember the Good Times, and inspired me to give it a shot.  One thing I've learned about sketches, you need to look at it right side up and upside down because you can change it up. It doesn't have to be exact.  The great thing about sketches is that they are the springboard for creativity.  So, thanks Lisa and here I go.

It was date night for Mimi and Little.  The SC State Museum was hosting a kids night with crafts and a tour of the special exhibit of the world of King Tutankhamun.  It was full of fun crafting and Little was amazed at all the artifacts and stories of life in Egypt.

I was going for as much gold as I could find.  I'm more a silver person so I had to make my gold pieces with Ranger's Queen's Gold embossing powder.  It has a beautiful satin finished.  I inked the wings with Ranger embossing ink, added the powder, then heated it up.  It has such a beautiful finish.

I did the same with the Blue Fern Studio chipboard.  I added the roller stamp image to give the top a bit more character.
