Back To School ... College Life

This is the last of my children who is off to school.  Going to elementary, middle, or high school is a breeze compared to sending one off to college.  I'm fortunate that Jay is still just downtown, but he lives on campus.  Everything he has been taught through the years goes into play right now.  His dad and I are very proud of our young man.  I am blest.  Yes, I still cry when he goes back to school every Fall.

  5. It's hard, isn't it? Seeing them grow up? Our 3-year-old granddaughter started dual-immersion preschool this year. She is very strong-minded so we were concerned when, after the first week, "la maestra" would be speaking only Spanish! And homework the first week! Sequoia wadded up the papers and said, "I'm not doing homework!" After that battle, she looked at the sun and banana she was to color yellow and said, "No! Amarillo means keep it all purple!" Oh, dear!

  6. It is sad to see them go whether kindergarten or college. Mine are all done with the school years now and I kind of miss it. Love the layers and your embellies!
