The Scream, a Scrapbook Layout and Gone Junkin'

Story First
Little loves to be startled.  If you hide behind a doorway and pop out when she comes around the corner she will scream and laugh.  While Mom and Little were playing chase Mom would backtrack and startle her.  Little loved it.  The photo captured one of those moments where Little let out a scream.  Perfect moment to be captured to remember how much Little loved to play this game.

I love how this layout turned out.  I don't do the 'nearly all one color' layout often, but this photo seem to "scream" for this type of layout.  There is no pattern paper to distract from the photo.

A Bit O' Junkin'
Connie Mercer is hosting her monthly "Gone Junkin' Friday".  I thought I'd share my junkin' find with you.  Connie has link ups on her blog in order for the others to share.  You can add your junkin' piece as well on her blog:  Craft Goodies

My dad purchased a similar piece back in the 80's.  He used it to fill with coins.  When my sister got married they emptied it and had enough money to make a significant dent her the cost of her wedding.

I've always wanted one.  Last month I found this at a flea market and got a great deal on it.

I turned it into a college fund for Alison.  I add her name with a few Tim Holtz products and started filling it up with my change I collect throughout the week.

A fun find.

Have a Crafty Day!

  11. I love that layout, especially the story behind it. When I was growing up, we had a "change jug." I found a huge glass whiskey bottle at an antique store 5-6 years ago and have been putting change in there ever since. Unfortunately, the top isn't big enough for quarters...bummer.
