Just Because You Can ... Don't, Spooky Layout

I was determined to use the last of my Reminiscence Halloween paper...pieces and all.  None of the paper was whole.  So I had to use the pieces to cover areas that I had cut for detail cutting.  I should of thought this through a lot better.

Fast forward ... I ended up redoing it by using my pieces of Graphic 45 Happy Hauntings.  Again, none of the pieces were whole, this time I used my head and realized you don't have to use everything on one layout.

This is the layout I ended up with (showing you the better one before the shock of seeing the first one.  LOL).

spooky
Simple and Clean
Ingredients
Graphic 45 Happy Hauntings paper collection
Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Vintage Photo, spinner, metal tag
American Craft Thickers
WeR Memory Keepers twine
Other, buttons, rickrack, burlap ribbon

What Not To Do!
Busy, Design Disaster!
The foundation has a cut out piece at the bottom and at the time I could not figure out how to cover it and keep the cute little witch.  So I created the tags.  Nope.  Now I realize I should have done some creative paper layering.  Once the tags were on and I didn't like I became determined to "fix" it by adding more and more until the photos were swallowed up.  Yuck!

This layout will get disassembled and reused properly.  I never do this but I know I can get several layouts with all the part and pieces I put on this one.  LOL

Ingredients
Reminiscence Halloween paper collection, stickers
Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed; metal tags, crinkle ribbon, Core'dinations cardstock
Ranger orange Stickles
Dymo Label Maker
We R Memory Keepers twine
Other buttons

The insane part is I spent so much time on the original.  Oh well, lesson learned.

  2. The top page is gorgeous and love that you shared the bottom page! It's nice to see other people's "mistakes" and how they learned because I'm still learning. (Although personally I think its genius to cover the cut out parts).
