I love paper layering. As you know that can get expensive at $1.00 plus a sheet of scrapbook paper. Remember when it was .30 cents? I digress.
I love this Christmas line by Prima, but I loved it more for the other side. I'm not keen on pages that are already "framed out." As I was looking at it I thought "why not 'fake it'." All I had to do was add stitching around the inner part of the frame for a wonderfully layered look. Now I will be looking at more framed scrapbook paper.
This is three of my grands waiting for their pictures with Santa.

Paper, crochet and paper flowers are by Prima.
You might recognize the banner and present paper from Basic Grey many years ago.
No chipboard on this layout...don't count on that too often! LOL
The bows on the presents were made with gold thread.

I received my greatest crafting comment back at the beginning of January. My husband and I were out shopping for Christmas decor at 70 and 80% off. My husband picked out a beautiful ornament. Then said "Let's not get this one. You can make this and make it even better." I was overwhelmed with gratitude for this most kind and loving man in my life.

You did great with the stiching. Nice layout !
ReplyDeleteI love hearing when my husband says that I should sell my projects (I can't they're my babies...), and love more when he kept saying it !
What a clever idea! How sweet of your husband. I know they don't often say they like the scrapbooks, but I love when DD has dragged all three of her different boyfriends to see the scrapbook albums! And she starts at the beginning with the k - 8th grade!
ReplyDeletevery clever and you pulled it off!! Looks amazing!!!
