"Perky" with Graphic 45 and Swirlydoos

I discovered a wonderful blog from Swirlydoos Kit Club and Online Store.  Normally, I steer away from kit clubs, but this is one that seems to create consideration.  Their blog and gallery are full of inspiration.  Their design team is awesome.  They also have sketch challenges on their blog.  I do recommend taking a "click" that way and check them out.

This is a layout inspired by Robin at Swirlydoos.

Our Perky Girl
Notables
Paper Line:  Graphic 45's A Secret Garden
Chipboard:  Blue Fern Studios
Flowers, pearls, bird's nest, butterfly:  Prima

I added some micro beads to the chipboard "Turkish bits" to bring out the chipboard and not get lost in all the color.  I spritzed water on the leaves on the lower part of the layout and then separated the leaves into three parts curling back the top layer.  I painted the layers with Distress Stain from Tim Holtz.  When it dried it holds it shape very well.  Thanks Patter Cross for this technique.

I have the hardest time using the title pages to Graphic 45's paper lines.  They are details and so beautiful.  I bit the bullet this time and layered my circle on the title page.  It turned out just like I wanted.  I feel like I reached a crafty milestone.  LOL

Have a Crafty Day!
