Snow Day Scrapbook Layout

When it snows in the south you know it's been a rough winter for the East Coast.  We've had two good snow falls this Winter and one resulting in an ice storm that was a record breaker.

Well, as many southern scrapbookers, I buy that beautiful snow paper and hope I have a year I can use it.  Finally, I can use my snowflake paper several times this Winter.

Snow Day
Notables
Paper:  Basic Grey
Flowers, lace and crystals, crystal snowflakes:  Prima
Stencil:  negative to Technique Tuesdays chipboard tiles
Chipboard:  Blue Fern Studios
Title, paint:  Tim Holtz
Doilies:  Wilton
Inspiration from Robin with Swirlydoos.

Ali was not crazy about her first snow.  She did not want to stand on it, pick it up, or play in it.  With her Papa's patience he convinced her it was okay to walk and even fall in the snow.  It did help she wanted to chase her puppy around!

On Another Note:

Two Questions, Two Answers
Mardi has left a new comment on your post "Got Time? Tutorial and Giveaway!":
Love the pocket watch with the pen nib Debbie. I found you through that on Pinterest. So you exhibit locally? (I am a Cola resident too)

Answer:  Really the only displaying I do is right here on my blog.  I am occasionally featured on a manufacturer's blog, website, and at craft trade shows.  Thank you for asking and maybe we can hook up at our area scrapbook store!

Nanette Butler has left a new comment on your post "Vintage Groove 3 and Fiskars Oval Cutter Demo":
I know this is from a long time ago but how did you get the photo so small to fit in the oval paperweight from making memories? misplaced my paperweight and found it today and I am stuck with the photo question, Can you help? thank Nanette P.S. I like what you did with the photo on photo!

Answer:
When I do projects like this it can be a real challenge to "make it fit."  On this project there are three photos.  I really depend on my Photoshop Elements.  I faded the picture of me and cut it out.  Then I cut out the photo of my aunt.  Of course the little photo is of me that my aunt kept on her end table.  To get the right size can be a bit of a trial and error.  I measure the height I want and size my photo to that height.  I print out a draft quality, black and white only, print to make sure it will fit.  After a few times I can normally get what I want.  Then print it out on photo quality paper.

I hope these answers help.

Everyone ...

Have a Crafty Weekend!
