I admire people who can use embellishment stickers and many words on a scrapbook page. I use one or two words (other than jouranling) but no more. One of my favorite designers is Lisa Swift. I love what she can do with Echo Park. Because of her influence I decided to buy one of their fun collections Capture Life.
This is a layout with two of my granddaughters. The older granddaughter was passing her wisdom and bravery to her "Little" cousin. I love these two.
Amazing
Fortunately, there are a lot of Echo Park fans so I was able to get a few ideas from them and try my hand at this style of scrapbooking for the first time. I think I was able to sneak in my style nonetheless.
Ingredients
Echo Park Capture Life collection
Tim Holtz, Distress Inks, idea-ology arrows, Sizzix's Alterations
Prima Flowers
Studio 490 stamps with Stampers Anonymous
Martha Stewart doilies
Heidi Swapp butterflies
Doodlebugs buttons
Fancy Pants ribbon
Ranger paint dabber Picket Fence
I love the center of the page with all the amazing elements enhancing the photos. I am surprised how much I loved do this. I have already completed more layouts using this style with Echo Park, Bo Bonny, and Graphic 45. I can't wait to share with you.

I have taken it down, although I am still working on the blog, the largest of the jobs are completed. What do you think of the new look?

ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie. I read your blog a bit today and found several takes on some sketches and they are great. I love it when scrapbookers work outside the box.
DeleteTotally awesome! It is beautiful and artistic! When I try to use this much, I end up with a cluttered mess, but I am inspired to keep going! You have long been part of my inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzi...you have been my number one encourager.
DeleteI have this EP collection but why don't my layouts look as amazing as this?!! LOL! Simply beautiful and the word stickers are perfectly placed and add so much to your design!
