Blue Fern Studios and My Beach Bums! Fun Techniques

Graphic 45's By the Sea paper collection with Blue Fern Studios chipboard sea collections are a perfect match for a layout  I love participating with Blue Fern Studios challenges as they are one of my top rated companies.

I had so much fun with this layout!  The photo subject may have something to do with it as well.  LOL

Beach Bums

Ingredients
Graphic 45 By the Sea paper collection
Blue Fern Studios chipboard
Prima flowers and peals
Martha Stewart Gesso and micro beads
Tim Holtz distress embossing powder, distress inks, crackle paint, stars
Ranger Glossy Accent, Embossing ink
American Crafs Thickers foam letters
Watercolor paint

Fun Techniques
Circle
Gesso Blue Fern Studios chipboard.
Dab Ranger embossing ink randomly on the chipboard, add Tim Holtz distress ink and heat.
Add Ranger Glossy Accent randomly and add Martha Stewart Micro Beads.
That's it!

Anchor
Add Gesso by Martha Stewart.  Let dry.
Add Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint.  Let dry.  Do not heat dry until crackling is clearly taking place.
Lightly add Tim Holt Walnut Distress Ink.
That's it!
Title
Paint with acrylic paint in one direction Thickers' black foam letters.
That's It!
Bubbles
This was totally fun!
Free hand with Martha Stewart Gesso random circles.  Imperfection is a must.
Using a pen of choice circle around the Gesso circles unevenly.
Paint circles with watercolors. Let dry.
Wet a paper towel and dab part of the watercolor to lighten the color.
That's it!

  2. Really cute photos! The distressing technique on your chipboard adds so much interest to your page. I think the final piece has a sort of sea-like feel to it... like it could have been a salvage piece found on a beach!
