It's a New Season for Ballet!---4 Layouts

I love watching my little grands dancing on what they call "the BIG stage."  Little was able to dance in the Nutcracker Suite for Columbia City Ballet last year.  Soon my three smallest girls will give it a shot to dance on the BIG stage.

Of course recitals ended their year in May and Mimi is not going to miss an opportunity to scrapbook their day.
Little as Red Riding Hood
This one loves the stage.  It was her third recital at only 5 years old.  Never any fear of getting up on the BIG stage and dancing.  She talks of dancing from her heart.

Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, Prima, Tim Holtz, My Minds Eye, Blue Fern Studio chipboard, Ranger Perfect Pearls, Heidi Swapp, Martha Stewart, Recollections and Faber Castell. It is hard to tell but it is gold micro-beads on the skirt of the ballerina.
Ali as one of the lions of Lion King
This little grandgirl reminds me of the photo of all the little girls standing in a row in ballet class but the last one is climbing and hanging from the bar.  She dances to the beat of her own drum.  This was Ali's second recital at only 3 years old and showed everyone how to do it her way.

Bo Bunny, Prima Tim Holtz, Blue Fern Studio chipboard, Ranger, Sizzix and Recollection.
Little's Sister as one of the lions in Lion King
Our little star.  This was LS's first year of ballet at the age of 2.  She also loved watching her sister in her tap lessons.  The teacher noticed that LS was able to tap the steps that the older students could do.  By January they admitted her into the class as the youngest tapper.

Side bar:  this summer LS took a short class....30 minutes each day for 4 days...at Camp Tap Tap Tap Away.  On the 5th day they had a recital and LS was given her first solo (at 3 years old and the youngest ever for this dance company) tapping and singing on stage.  Amazing!

Bo Bunny, Prima, Blue Fern Studio chipboard Tim Holtz, Basic Grey (brads), Making Memories (brad), Creative Memories stamp and Ranger Perfect Pearls.
H at Her First Recital
H did an awesome job with her first recital.  For a first year student she nailed it with grace, elegance and emotion.  I was so proud of her.  She is not going to dance this year but the "the BIG stage" is waiting for her in other arts that she is fantastic.

Bo Bunny, Prima, Tim Holtz, Blue Fern Studio chipboard, Heidi Swapp, Tattered Angels mask (the leaves that I cut off the mask and used alcohol ink for color), Ranger, Basic Grey (cork butterfly) and Recollections.

The design ideas were not mine but my take on them.  I believe some of the ideas from the designers at Blue Fern Studio and Bo Bunny.

Long post, but a lot to make up for.  LOL

  2. Our granddaughter is isn't dance now, too, and theater. She's a great little munchkin in the wizard of Oz, but I'm a long way from doing pages so beautiful for her, and I'm only scrapping one! I'll look at your lovelies and dream! Your pages are so fantastic, but they never distract from those beautiful little faces!

  3. Gorgeous!! The photos are wonderful and your layouts are just exquisite. These should be framed so they can be enjoyed every day! Love the details, such as the microbeads on the die cut.
