Ahoy Mateys! Favorite Photo Technique

It's spring, but summer activities are beginning.  Some of my family has made it to beach already.   This is a scrapbook layout of my granddaughter last year at the beach.  The clouds were dark and the wind high but that made for some beautiful photos.

I used Basic Grey's Adrift collection I purchased at their last warehouse sale.  I miss their paper lines but your should see their fabrics.
I think the most distinct feature is the photo.  I cropped the photo twice.  Printed all three pieces.  Cut them and left a white boarder around it.  I had to cross my eyes a couple of times but I was able to creativity place the photos to make "one" photo.

Other products I used are...
Sizzix seahorse die, and added Stickles (glitter glue but better)
Tim Holtz hot air balloon stamp, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Idea-ology "kiss" (with Rangers paint dabbers, Picket Fence, worked into the letters),  gumdrops and "rope" ribbon
Inkadinkado sand castle stamp,
Technique Tuesday stamp "Beach Bum," "endless" and "fun,"
Prima flowers,
Queen and Co. pearls...probably more.
Another feature that was fun was the "gum drop"circles above the photo.  I used Golden's Glass Bead Gel and a stencil to create an "embellishment."  Now you can make your own gumdrops.  This is a great product, that once dry, you can add alcohol ink to change the color.

Warning for Me
Do not add embellishments so close to the edge of the paper.  When you slip your layout into your album sleeve the edges pinch any bulk on the edges.
