My Beautiful Flower with Kaisercraft Hanami Garden

I looked it up ... Hanami.  Hanami literally means "flower viewing."  It is associated with the cherry blossom festival in Japan.  In this case it is referring to my "beautiful" granddaughter growing and becoming one of our beautiful and talented flowers in our garden.

I had a relaxing time with a lot of fussy cutting, creating a tag and little bits here and there.  It was a marvelous time creating...

Beautiful

Few Highlights
I used an old mask for the backdrop of the layout.  I purchased quite a few during the trend of "masks." I never really got the hang of it so now I use them as elements to my layouts.
I fussy cut the Hanami Garden flowers.  If you want to look into how someone designed a piece of paper art, try cutting out the piece with all it's details.  These beautiful flowers are incredibly detailed and have a light airy in feel.
The foundation of the tag is a canvas that I added Tim Holz Distress Stain.  The stamp (meaning love) is from Fiskars' Clear Asian Inspired Stamp set. The ballerina is a silhouette I printed on the back of the Hanami Garden paper and cut out.  I added a few more of my favorite Tim Holtz and Prima elements.

Prima Flowers Blackthorn are perfect for the Hanami Garden Collection.
The butterflies are made with Fiskars Fly Away squeeze punch.  I never waste my Ken Oliver's Color Bursts leftover mixture.  I dab up the leftovers onto a piece of cardstock for later use.  That is how my butterflies came to be.

It's been dance recital weekend.  I had a great time watching my grands tap and dance ballet.  I imagine you will see more of my angels throughout out the summer.

Do you like to fussy cut?  Yes!  Cool.  No.  What is your "thing" when creating your art with scrapbooking?
