Putting the Tray Together / ScraPerfect Winner

I want to thank everyone here, Facebook, Twitter, Scrapbook.com and Pinterest for all the phenomenal comments and encouragement.  This was a creation of love.  My 6 year old granddaughter saw this, looked and looked and finally looked up at me and said "Mimi you are really good at this.  No, really, Mimi this is good."  LOL  I love it most from her.

Bit's and Pieces of How It Came Together.
The tray, Melissa & Doug paper doll tray, is the identical color as Bo Bunny's Penny Emporium paper.   I didn't have to cover the whole tray but rather accent the front of the tray to frame out each box.

The background of the largest area is created with Bo Bunny's Emporium Woodworks.  The tray was wider that 12" so I just used the flower side of the paper.  It adds an interesting feature to the centerpiece.

Julie Nutting's paper doll stamps are a lot of fun.  The grandgirls enjoyed making paper dolls with Julie's stamp.  I decided to make a paper doll or in this case a fairly.

Special Notes
  • Stamp the image several times onto Bo Bunny's Penny Emporium Imagination and Penny Emporium Portraiture.
  • Cut out the foundation piece, then the whole dress, accent on the skirt, headband and shoes.
  • Color the body with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Scattered Straw and the hair with Gathered Twig by rubbing the ink pad on the craft mat then spritz it with water.  Using a paint brush color the body and hair.
  • Pop-dot the skirt accent and add bling to her shoes and hairband.
  • Wings are from Tim Holtz Alteration Butterfly, add Diamond Dust.

Background is lined with Bo Bunny's Penny Emporium Mercantile.  I added odds and ends that remind of the kids.  They do have the "keys to my heart."  Each one is a flower in Mimi's garden.  All three are ballerinas. I picked up the ballerina from Etsy.  We often had to "Tab Clear" and "Back Space."  LOL  The typewriter keys are from an old typewriter that could not be saved.

The small chipboard clocks are from Bo Bunny Timepieces and the light bulbs from Prima.  "Laugh" is from Tim Holtz flashcards.  Everything created pulls together the essence of these three friends, sisters and cousins.

Tim Holtz film strips, old Making Memory metal words, Bo Bunny Film Strip Sticker, Prima buttons, and Tim Holtz Salvaged Dolls.

Scepter from Blue Fern Studios.   Paint with gesso, highlight with teal paint and add gold microbeads.  The rub-ons are from Tim Holtz...butterfly and words and short phrases.  The word "Journey" turned out dark in the photo but it is from Tim Holt's Idea-Ology 1" Wooden Letters and Numbers.  Flowers from Prima and the lock from Hobby Lobby crafts.

The butterflies were punched from Fiskars butterfly punch.  Two layers glued together with ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap
