It's A Boy's Life

I found a wonderful little boy's themed paper kit in a yard sale.  For about .25, yes twenty-five cents, the kit contained about 6 sheets of double-sided paper from Imaginisce, Ranger's Stickles, Cosmos Cricket sticker letters, and matching chipboard elements.  I think that was a fair price.  LOL  It is unreal what I can find sometimes.

The paper wasn't the latest and greatest, but it was cute and I wanted a chance to use it in my grandson's first, only him, scrapbook.  Here is the title page.

Adventure

The Story
My grandson and I were walking back from dropping off his sisters at cheer camp when he started noticing his shadow.  I took several photos.  When I looked at this one he reminded me of Peter Pan.  My grandson is only 2 and this looks like he is 5 or 6.  Shadow of things to come.
Notables
Imaginisce paper collection
Tim Holtz die cut clock, Distress Ink vintage photo, Oxide Ink peeled paint and vintage photo
Finnabair clear gesso
DecoArt stencil Short Circuit
Basic Modeling Paste
Heidi Swapp metal words
K&Co chipboard title word
Michael's Arts and Crafts rub-on, film washi tape
Paper House canvas stickers
Magic Mesh
This was hard after playing with mixed media, so I had to figure how I could add a bit of mixed media but still keep it simple.  The tag!  I used modeling paste and stencil to create an interesting background for the shadow photo.
"Adventure" is an old K&Co chipboard word.  It was mint green with gold inlay.  I sanded it down and inked with the Stazon Midnight Blue ink.  Before it could dry I wiped some of the ink off and allowed the green to come through.
Simple with a few notables.  It makes a good title page for the little boy who is the smiles in my day.

Don't forget to mark your calendar for October 5-8 for the first Handyman's Holiday Hop.  It is going to be fun and inspirational.  I am sure there will be a surprise on every blog.
