25 Tags for My December Daily

Image
Update for 12 Days of Home for the Holidays...as of today there are only FIVE days until the beginning of the best Holiday Tradition on the internet.  12 Crafters sharing their favorite family traditions + 9 Sponsors making one huge giveaway.  I'll be sharing Wednesday what the prize will be.  Saturday I will introduce my 12 guests and my special guest that will be gifting everyone for 12 days.  Make sure to check in early.

I am still prepping my December Daily album.  Instead of my traditional cute number of the day that I place between the pages of the book, I decided to create one tag for each day with the day fastened to the tag.

Some of my inspiration for the design on the tags came from several years of creating "Tim Tags."  Some just from my heart.

Days 1 - 5 Days 6 - 10 11 - 15 Days 16 - 20 Days 21 - 25
Which tag is your favorite?
My favorites are the ones I set up to add photos.

I used so many products the rest of the blog post would be very long.  Some of my fa…

Three More Sponsors for 12 Days of Home for the Holidays

Image
Welcome back to May Arts Ribbon.  This is May Arts 2nd year sponsoring 12 Days of Home for the Holidays.  I can't wait to share what they are generously gifting to the giveaway at the end of the blog event.  In the meantime here is a project I did for May Arts last Christmas.  It was featured on their blog.

The ring is a canning ring.  Ribbon is from May Arts Ribbon, and paper is Graphic 45.  Of course the photo inside is me:  The Early Years.

Hydrangea Hippo is one of my newest sponsors.  Check their website and gain inspiration from their blog.  Hydrangea Hippo is owned by Jennifer Priest, designer and social media expert.  I have discovered Hydrangea Hippo's Esty Shop.  I just placed my first order for some vintage ballerinas.

Buttons Galore & More is another first time sponsor for 12 Days of Home for the Holidays.  Who can craft without buttons and embellishments?  I love their buttons.  Especially, Buttons Galore and More Holiday Fun Hand Dyed Buttons.  You can shop o…

Christmas Is A Time to "Dream Big"

Image
I remember as a little girls lying under the tree starring at my favorite ornaments and dreaming of what St. Nicholas would bring.

The photo of Little playing with one of the ornaments on the tree reminded me of my days of dreaming about Christmas.

This is from my view of Blue Fern Studios' November sketch.
The paper is from Basic Grey (white) and Kaisercraft.  The chipboard from Blue Fern Studio is the title "Dream Big", the honeycomb, and the corner.
I cut the holly leaves from Kaisercraft paper and added Xmas Stickles from Ranger.  I embossed the corner and title with Ranger's Ancient Gold embossing powder.  The honeycomb chipboard is painted with Gesso.  Add a little Jenni Bowlin card, a few sequins, and Recollections glittered wire and you have it.
We are getting ready for the Nutcracker Ballet, visiting Santa Claus, Festival of Trees, Little's Hanukkah play, and so much more.  I think the season is here.
I'm also getting ready for 12 Days of Home fo…

December Daily 2013 D's Style

Image
I enjoy creating my December Daily each year.  Ali Edwards inspires me with her graphic designs, her photos, and motivation for December Daily.

I create my own "kit."  This year I'm using the Snap System from Simple Stories and the paper from Graphic 45's The 12 Days of Christmas.  I'm currently creating 25 tags one for each day.  For now, I would like to share with you the cover.
(click on the photos for a detailed look)

When I was creating my cover I kept singing the old song "Silver and Gold" from the 1964 CBS Special "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" sung by Burl Ives.  It so reminded me of my childhood and my children's Christmases when they were young.  I needed a keepsake to remember those memories.

I painted the bare part of the album with Gesso then added Glass Bead Gel to create the look of falling snow.

I used Blue Fern Studios chipboard Shabby Flakes, Baroque Tree, Let It Snow, and Tattered Diamond Bits.  I ink up the chipboard…

Stampington & Company, Sponsor of 12 Days of Home for the Holidays

Image
I had been published several times in magazines before attempting to be published in Sommerset Memories, one of Stampington & Company's incredible magazines. I keep all my back issues I've purchased. They are timeless. I was fortunate to be published in one of their magazines, Sommerset Memories.

Stampington & Company is one of the new sponsors for the giveaway for 12 Days of Home for the Holidays!  I'm really excited to have them part of 12 Days of Home for the Holidays blog event.

One of my favorite crafters and someone I consider a role model in the faith has many publications with Stampington & Company. She agreed to let me share some her work with Stampington & Company.
