These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

Image
2013, can you believe in just two days it will 2014?  Unreal!  My question is where did it all go so fast?  LOL

Here are 13 my favorite projects from my blog for 2013.  It was really a fun and great year in my crafty world.
Going into 2014 I want to add my favorite photo that will lead the way for this next year.
God bless you and have a wonderful New Year!

Have a Crafty Year,

Psst.... Blue Fern Studios Sketch

Image
I have so many Christmas photos that did not go in the December Daily albums (yes, plural) because I wanted to create 12 x 12 layouts of them.  I may be busy all year.

The layout is based on Blue Fern Studios December Sketch challenge.

This is Little with Elf on the Shelf.  I know you are not suppose to touch them but when Little loves she wants to hug.
Notables
The snowflakes, side boarder, and top right hanging snowflake are all chipboard from Blue Fern Studios.  They are so easy to paint, ink, emboss, etc. The large doily is from Bo Bunny and I love it.  It is perfect for a "circle" element with a bit of a lacy look.  The paper is from Prima's winter collection.  Beautiful vintage style.
The banner was so much fun to make.  I was inspired by a tag from a design team member of Maya Road.

How many layouts/albums do you think you will create from the holiday season?

The Real Santa ... Teresa Collins Giveaway Winner

Image
Tabitha, of Tabitha Safdi Photography and my daughter, discovered where the real Santa hangs out right before Christmas.  Tabitha and I have been taking Little and now Little and Little's Sister to see this Santa for the last 3 years.  He is incredible  with the the children.  Last year he really stood out to us when he helped Little through her fear of Santa (like most children her age).  He told her she was very special and gave her a Santa bell...he only gives out a few through the season.

This year Santa was just as incredible.  (Although we all know Santa is incredible!)  Here is one of the photos that was taken at the annual the photo shoot.

Little had kept her bell safe and brought it to show Santa she still remembered his kindness.
Tabitha is also a producer and decided to do a short story on our favorite Santa.  Here is what I call the "Real Santa!"

Hello blog friends and welcome to day 12 of D's Paper Studio's, 12 Days of Home for the Holidays. It’s been really cool reading all about the traditions of each of the artists who participated this year.

Handmade gifts are from the heart, and there’s no better way to share your love and joy for the season than to give something that you’ve made by hand. In our family we have a longstanding tradition of handmade Christmas ornaments. Hand-stitched felt teddy bears, painted wooden ornaments, handmade photo ornaments, some nearly 50 years old hang on our Christmas trees, and every year whe…

12 Days of Home for the Holidays Welcomes Leslie Ashe

Leslie Ashe
Hi everyone, I’m Leslie Ashe & I am SO honored, thrilled, delighted & OVER joyed to be asked to participate in the 12 Days of Home for the Holidays.

I delight in taking my family to fun, different places for our Christmas cards every year. I bring props, make them pose & we all just have such fun making family memories that will always last. Especially when you get to see them in photo’s, on layouts or in frames around the house. I love doing this every year. Now that my children are both in college (1 close to home, 1 not so close to home) it’s getting harder to get them together for such memories, but somehow it all works out. Even if it’s last minute – I enjoy EVERY last minute of taking the time to make sure we do this. In fact, after I take their photos, I love to use them on projects throughout the month of December.

Here’s a few examples:

I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me share with you today. I hope you find the time to explore…
